Good location, lovely old house that has been in the family since it was built in 1890. All the little touches are impeccable, but the true greatness of this place is the hosts who are just like family. My wife said it is like staying with your uncle and aunt. Overall, a great stay.

You have to enter a stop light controlled tunnel, but it is not a problem. It is what makes this property unique. The real star of this property is Sara hostess. Our airlines lost our luggage. We have t-Mobile 55 Magenta plan which allows us to text and Wi-Fi, but we cannot make a phone call. Sara was kind enough to let me use her phone to talk to the airline. The day my luggage was delivered, Sara acted as the go between with the carrier so we could continue our vacation. Sara was there to greet the carrier, and got the luggage to our room. We have never had a proprietor has service oriented as Sara.

Alice and her husband are very considerate hosts. They have thought about everything to make the place fully equipped and very comfortable. It is great to be able to have the windows open and not have to worry about mosquitoes.

We absolutely loved the fact that it was away from the busy center. The suite we got was very spacious, beautifully designed and very clean. Beds were super comfortable. The outside garden area filled with beautiful plants. They serve a big assortment of sweet and savory breakfast including fresh squeezed orange juice. The Bed and Breakfast is a gem in Sestri Levante - all is there, of course, if you do not expect extras which only 4- or 5-star chain hotels can boast of. This accommodation is for those who love homelike atmosphere and care. The owner, Francesco, is a great host and a person. He gives good tips on where to eat and relax, what to see and do, and how to get to the local sights which Liguria abounds with. His sister, who is also in the business, is also a great personality. I really felt at home at their place. These positive emotions fortify when you get around the property and find that the Portobello is in between two sand beaches - one in the East where the sun rises and one in the West, where the sun sets. In front there is a square with a small cathedral in it. From the windows we got stunning views of the beaches, the cathedral, and the castle which mounts behind it. The B&B is in a 10-minute stroll from the railway station, which is a pleasant walk along the small town's streets. Around the property there are plenty of shops, pasticerias, small cafes and restaurants. In the morning the hosts offer an excellent breakfast, and through the day you can get tea and coffee and some snacks. I shall get back one day, no doubts. This was definitely the best place we’ve ever stayed in, though we travel a lot! Everything is very clean, rooms are in perfect conditions, new and comfortable. Every detail and furniture is selected with love and refined taste. Hosts Tina and Luca are amazing and lovely people. Tina’s breakfasts and table settings are incredible and something special! Calm and perfect place for couples and families. Highly recommended!

What a lovely find! The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms and decor were beautifully done, the pool was so nice, and the breakfasts were very generous. Staying here felt like being part of the family and we will certainly stay here again.

The location of the property is excellent, it was very close to the metro station and just a 10-minute walk to to the beaches and some of the most popular touristic attractions and restaurant. The property was very clean, equipped with AC and TV, hair dryer, and a mini fridge
