The host is also passionate about music and art, so offers a vinyl player and collection of records for communal use, along with plenty of books to borrow. Beautiful art has been collected by local and visiting artists and the furnishings are stylish and give the house a modern twist on a traditional Moroccan home.

Saïd is the best host we had on our whole trip. He is attentive, but not obtrusive at all. He transformed what was once his family’s home into a very welcoming, vibey location. Our highlight was having breakfast on the terrace. The bread was exceptional, the coffee freshly pressed and the marmalade one of the best we had. We invited Saïd to join us and had a very interesting conversation. His English (which he started learning by deciphering lyrics of his favorite songs) allows for barrier-free communication. This was the only stay of our trip that was so inspiring that we wished we could stay a few more nights.

Next to the riad is a tiny restuarant with orange tablecloths and a nice old couple make tasty tagines for the cheapest price we had in all Morocco! Shukran bezzef!
