This was a secret escape. A very peaceful serene location really helped myself and Husband wind down from a long flight from the UK and set up for the rest of our tour around New Zealand. The property is a 5 minute drive into Kerikeri with plenty of shops and restaurants however they do close early compared to UK standards. There is a brewery with high standard restaurant and a garden bar with delicious snacks open until late this is a 15- 20 minute walk through the woods take a torch for return journey especially if you have sampled one or two over the top. I can only say this is a lovely place to stay and unwind with a bottle of wine from the well stocked mini bar 🍸 Thank you to Carla, Christian & Biscuit for a memorable stay and lovely breakfast. The room was spacious, well appointed and modern; opening onto a delightful terrace with views to the extensive and beautifully maintained garden. A great place to walk and explore the wide array of interesting plants and mature trees.

This was hospitality at its best. Very comfortable and everything we needed. The breakfast provisions were quality - fresh milk, homemade muesli and mostly locally sourced products..The kitchen utensils and crockery etc left nothing wanting...it was so peaceful, all we heard was the local wildlife, birds chirping.

Every thing was topnotch: A big room with a confy bed, the huge garden and last but not least a marvelous breakfast. The hosts were very kind and helpful, providing a list of restaurants, maps with informations about the surrounding and personal support about the airtraffic. There is really nothing to mention, what didn't work.

We didn't have breakfast during our stay but next time will definitely take the opportunity. We were able to get a courteousy van from Homestead to pick us up and drop us off so we could enjoy a couple of beers. Lovely stay there and so thankful for the return of my phone.
