Provided you don't mind stairs, this represents quiet luxury at a budget price. We had a level four room of generous proportion with a lovely and expansive view over old Porto towards the river. Super clean, modern, great bed, scalding hot water and a pleasant host. We noticed a lower level room provided for self catering. The location was great for us....500m uphill from Sao Bento station, an inexpensive cafe bar on the corner with plenty of other small restaurants nearby. An easy meander down to the river.

The location was much better than I expected, there was some transport to get central very easily. Also, there were some lovely cats, I really like it. I would highly recommend this accommodation!
