This accommodation is a very good starting point for discovering the Mafate area. The owner is a very nice lady. Not far from the accommodation is very nice local restaurant with nice food. It was bad for us that the lady doesn't speak English and we don't speak French :-(. Nevertheless, we agreed on everything that was needed. Breakfast is rich and varied, but you have to be able to choose ;-) - we initially did not understand the system. You are choosing 1 piece of cheese, for example, not 1 portion :-). The rooms are quite large, but for three people with backpacks it is so so. We were lucky that no one was accommodated in the other rooms, and we could use the common areas with the kitchen.

Also the place where the hotel is located. offers great views as you wake up in a valley between mountains. Just amaizng.

Although I can speak French I am not so good at writing in it. I can only say that here I found that family mood, friendliness and delightful home cooked food that I have been missing in other places. This is also the reason why after one nights stay my girlfriend and I returned for yet another 2.

The housekeeping was done well and the rooms were very clean. In addition, the house was very quiet and away from the main road. There was a water supply interruption in the town but it was not David's (the host) fault. To his credit, he brought in containers of water supply for drinking and the toilet. Everything was comfortable and really met our expectations. the location was perfect for hiking with many trails only a 5-10min drive away. very peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was in the fridge and fresh bread and something sweet was brought every morning. We liked the fact that it was very private and you don’t depend on breakfast schedules or such.
