The staff, the room, the ambience. The people working there are very kind and helpful that makes the place worth staying. Especially Daniella was very helpful and went out of her way to make trip enquiries for us, keep extra water for us when she knew that the only shop nearby closed early. She gave suggestions on trips, whom to contact for airport transfers and sightseeings The people at the breakfast. The cleaning girls. Everyone we met was very considerate. Lovely place with lovely people.

Booking online is always a bit of a gamble, but the Forest Lodge is exactly as promised. All the photos are legit and it is indeed a very cozy guest house a bit away from all the noise, except for the many animal sounds from the surrounding beautiful forest. What we valued most while staying there for 12 nights was first of all the outstanding kindness and helpfulness of the manager and his staff. We were even lucky enough to have been offered a dinner, which was absolutely fantastic. As mentioned, we were very happy with the ambient and the abundance of space in the room/studio. Siting on the balcony and drinking your favorite morning/evening drink while watching birds and fruit bats flying all around is as good as it gets. We were surprised how well the staff maintain clean and tidy rooms as well as the surroundings of the house. We were also a big fan of the in-house drinks fridge, which is self-service. The only thing that could see some improvement in my opinion is the kitchenette. It is useful, but very basic. The stove is painfully slow. A gas stove or induction plate would be a superb upgrade. For some people, it should be noted, that there is quite a walk to the beach. There is a small local beach, but it is not as nice as the main one in Beau Vallon and it is not extremely close either. That said, we had no problem walking every day and using the bus. There is plenty of bus stops all around and it is a good way to explore the island. From the lodge to the main road is about 8-10 minutes walk, and a further 1 minute to the bus stop and another 2 minutes to the closest shop. The local beach is around 10-15 minutes of walking and the Beau Vallon beach is around 30 minutes of walking. If this is a problem for you, rent a car. There is free parking at the lodge.

Все чудово! Ми зупинялись 4 ночі. Дуже великий сімейний номер. Прибирання кожного дня (це важливо, бо пісок). Сніданок простий, але з душею і смачний. Гарна територія, та басейн. Все чистять, прибирають. Дуже близько до пляжу.

A small getaway close to the beach and the "center" of Beau Vallon. The owners are very friendly and helpful, the rooms great, the breakfast tasty and enough to set you up for a day diving. I was very happy.
