This hotel is absolutely charming! The rooms are a nice size. Clean with great air conditioning. We really appreciate the screens on the glass doors. The hotel is located 5 minutes from a beautiful beach. It has a lovely swimming pool and lounge areas with lots of character. The breakfast omeletts and crepes were very tasty. We highly recommend Maison de Clara.

The restaurants serves great food, really tasty I loved it. Every trip you want can be organized for you. The free standing bathtub was pure luxurious. We loved the villa in every single detail: stylish, clean, perfectly maintained and all amenities available. We spent two nights in the dependance just in front of the villa with lovely terrace with little and well furnished kitchen, and it was perfect. There are also 5 rooms inside the main villa, all of them very spacious and very clean. The common areas of the villa are also perfect to relax and find some peace. Very nice pool and pool area. Breakfast was rich, good quality and well served. Lika and Olivier are wonderful hosts. Very helpful to provide any suggestions and contacts for restaurants and various services (we choose a tour driving a buggy). The access to beach is less than 2 minutes from the villa.

Big size rooms and big size pool. Exactly like the pictures. The cleanliness is exceptional. Good breakfast service. If you ask for ice, they will get ice for you. We got a nice bottle of wine as a welcome gift for celebrating a birthday there. Shared kitchen has coffee machine, microwave, stove, and oven. Basically, everything you need but elevated. It's such a great place to stay. Will visit again next time.

Just came home from a very impressive trip to Senegal and The Gambia and this was the last of several accommodations during our trip. It was certainly one of the highlights and we enjoyed every single minute here. The place is so beautiful and the owners give so much attention to every detail. They really love what they do. They also cooked a wonderful meal on our last evening which was a five star experience as well. Hope to stay here again one day!

The breakfast was absolutely excellent. Fresh made omelet, orange juice, fresh crusty baguette; other breads, danish, cheese, carafe of hot coffee, etc. The whole experience was very different and so much better than what I am used to. I am used to staying in 4 and 5 star hotels but this villa experience is more like a luxury bed & breakfast. The food is absolutely gourmet and excellent. The decor in the whole villa and the room is combination of African and French tastes. Whomever did the exterior and interior design has great taste and vision. The location of the villa is quite far from Dakar and in a rather remote area which is a pleasant departure from a city atmosphere. Very tranquil and I slept so well in a very comfortable bed. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The villa also provided transportation to and from the airport at a very reasonable price. The driver, Michel, is a very good driver, efficient and prompt. I cannot say enough good things about Villa Chanalu.
