A hostel is exactly the type of accommodation that suits me. It's not luxury, but I don't look for that when I travel. I prefer the charm of the place. And that's exactly what I found here. I felt very comfortable there. The room was OK. The private bathroom was OK. Hot water always. I liked sitting in the hall and in the garden. The team that works in the hostel are friendly people. They were very helpful in organizing the climb to Cerro Toco. It was enough to ask and they organized everything very well.

The place is very new, clean, tidy, quiet, comfortable. It's well equipped with anything that you need (shower gel, hand soap, towels, hairdryer, heater/cooler), it has a large kitchen for common use and a very beautiful terrace/lounge where to dine and to relax. It's a bright place with plenty natural light, beautifully decorated. The owners are the kindest persons which you can wish to meet, I felt them like my parents away from home. They were 100% available, willing to help with anything and always with a big, genuine smile. I couldn't ask for more during my stay.

Atacama Checar, Hostal ligger i San Pedro de Atacama, 10 km från Piedra del Coyote, och erbjuder boende med en gemensam lounge, gratis privat parkering och en terrass. The staff was amazing! I don't speak Spanish, but they used Google translate on their phone to communicate. They were very kind and helpful, and when I had to leave very early in the morning, they even left me a to-go snack in lieu of breakfast! Very nice!
