If you're looking for spiritual calm or just a lovely place to contemplate the lovely Bornholm scenery this inland delight is a great option and phenomenally good value for money compared to the competition. While the bathroom was separate, it was nonetheless only for the use of my room. The house has a sustainable policy to energy and a local produce approach to the unexpectedly delicious breakfast. The owner goes out of her way to assist guests and is herself something of a spiritual teacher - the guesthouse being home to bespoke mini-retreats on request.

The protected courtyard was pretty and had many places to sit and enjoy the sun. The rooms are spacious, nice shower, and very clean. Simon, the host, was great! His historical knowledge of the island is immense and fascinating and his recommendations of where to hike for spectacular views was so helpful. Honestly, it was hard to leave this place! And the breakfast? WOW. The woman who ran the breakfast room, I wish I knew her name, was friendly and very careful to make sure that everything was just right and dishes replenished and baskets of breads refilled as soon as they were getting low.
