It was truly a pleasure to stay in this 110 year old traditional Japanese house. There were no other guests at the time and we had the whole house to ourselves. The house is tastefully furnished and there is even a new trail bicycle available for guests. The host was extremely helpful and friendly. He offered to make reservations for us at a local restaurant and even drove us (at a time that best suited us) to the trailhead for our hike at Magome.

Wonderful! Clean and tidy guest house with comfortable rooms. Bathrooms are shared but fine as not a lot of guests staying at once. Dinner and breakfast were superb and Keiko was the loveliest host. Would recommend to all.

My mother and I stayed here on a mother-daugher holiday. We were welcomed with incredible hospitality and kindness. The woman who looked after us was so accomodating and helped us have a comfortable stay. The rooms were well outfitted and provided a stunning view of the mountains. The bathroom facilities were immaculate. There were great snacks avaliable for purchase at a good price which was an added bonus.

Located in 15-minute bus ride from JR Takayama Station, Guest House & Cafe SOY is surrounded by lush greenery. Free WIFi is provided and free private parking is available on site. We had an exceptional stay at Soy guesthouse! The house is beautiful, and our Japanse style room was large and comfortable. The food was very tasty (we tried both the western and Japanese breakfast), and we enjoyed having the meals while looking at the Japanese garden. Above all Tai-san and his mother are truly exceptional and kind hosts! They helped us a lot with transport, making reservations, etc. They even gifted us flowers and sparkling wine because we got engaged in the guesthouse... Needless to say we will cherish our 3 days at Soy in Takayama for the rest of our lives :)

Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station. This place gave us a whole new experience! The wine pairing and food were spot on. Also, the breakfast was so filling! The location was great and the view from our room was amazing. Everything was just perfect!

Just a 2-minute walk from JR Takayama Train Station and Takayama Nohi Bus Center, Guesthouse Tomaru offers an renovated 80-year old Japanese-style accommodation. Really nice hostel, in the center of the town.

A 6-minute walk from JR Takayama Train Station, 力車イン Rickshaw inn offers non-smoking Japanese rooms and Western rooms with free Wi-Fi, an LCD TV and a private bathroom. A free-use kitchen is on site. This liitle inn has characters. The amenities, cleanliness and location are excellent.

Smeštajni objekat ROMANSTAY, na atraktivnoj lokaciji u gradu Takajama, u ponudi ima klimatizovane jedinice, besplatne bicikle, besplatan WiFi i terasu. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. We stayed for one night during the Takayama festival as a couple but it can accommodate more guests. The open-air bath was fun and easy to use with privacy.
