The Garden and pool are amazing to escape from the beach heat. Puerto Morelos is great, do not bother to stay in Cancun or Playa because you will regret it. This is a gem! All excursions can be made from P. Morelos, so perfect location and super safe compared to Cancun and Playa!

They picked us up from airport, treated us well and took us to a local bbq around the corner. If you are ever arriving or leaving cancun then this is the perfect spot for a day or 2.

At the guest house, every unit comes with bed linen and towels. Very cute place in Bacalar! There is an amazing garden in front of the room. A shared open kitchen is available to everyone, with grill, amacas and a lot of place to chill in the open air. Casa Umay is very close to the center and to the lake, you can easily reach any place by foot. There is also a cafè right next to the entrance. The room is simple and has anything need :)

The nearest airport is Chetumal International Airport, 34 km from the bed and breakfast. This was the perfect place for our one-day stay in Bacalar. The owners were very helpful and did everything to make us feel comfortable. They gave great tips about things to do and where to eat and organised our taxi ride for the next morning. They even organised an early breakfast for us. Also, the complimentary bikes made it very easy to navigate the city. We would definitely stay there again.

Available paddle board and kayak (even though for 2 hours - you would be too tired to use it longer haha). Great that they offer simple breakfast at the property so you don't need to hassle to town. There are also Laguna friendly toiletries available: wow. My partner thinks that common space.could be limited by half to have more laguna view :) and to get more privacy in the ground rooms. It was great to have truly English speaking host (not just translate conversations from Spanish to English and back). And place looks exactly like on pictures or even better.
