This host is very generous it is obvious they want you to feel at home and valued guests. Eggs, bread, plenty of cereals and fresh fruit, yoghurt etc. and then the extras to make you feel really at home. There’s no shops so the chocolate, chips and biscuits are a very thoughtful addition.we wil recommend and come stay again for sure.

Taranaki Falls is 38 km from the bed and breakfast, while Whakapapa is 44 km from the property. The nearest airport is Whanganui Airport, 107 km from Riversong. The hosts were so lovely and welcoming, and their home was very comfortable and cosy.

Part of a larger house, Frankie & Hugh's is a renovated, self-contained apartment situated in Ohakune, just a 20-minute drive from the Turoa ski field on Mount Ruapehu. A beautiful mountain stream runs through the B&B gardens, and you can often hear the calls of native birds Frankie and Hugh's felt like home away from home. Marlene and Wayne were great host and made every effort to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We found the property clean, spacious and well maintained. The breakfast was good and we very much enjoyed our stay at the property.

Ranfurly Cottage is located in the historic township of Raetihi. Free WiFi access is available. Each room here will provide you with a patio and a private bathroom with free toiletries. You can enjoy garden view from the room. What wonderfull greeting from Alison and Ron and what a beautiful accommodation. Very comfy beds, each with own shower room (small but very functional). Alsion had already setup the table for breakfast the next morning, cereal, croissants, milk, juice, butter, jams ..... use of microwave, fridge, washing machine.Gas fireplace made it very cosy and our son was super happy to have the extra TV channels to watch the football world cup. Unfortunatly only stayed one night so did not see much of outside ameneties of the village but would have happilly stayed 4-5 days extra ... specially due to such a wonderfull, welcoming, helpfull couple, Alison and Ron !

Featuring spectacular Mount Ruapehu and Mangawhero River views, The River Lodge Ohakune is situated about 8 km from Ohakune town centre. It is a 35-minute drive to the chairlifts at Turoa Ski Area. My partner and I stayed at the River Lodge during our Christmas/ summer holiday and it was EXCEPTIONAL. Cleanest room we have ever stayed in. The hosts are fantastic, great vibes all round! The included breakfast was delicious and we had all the amenities we needed. Well worth the price and experience away from a chain hotel. The setting is so green, relaxing and warm. We slept so well as it was so quiet. Highly recommend you stay here if you are planning to hike the Tongariro Alpine Crossing - Dani can organise a direct shuttle to/from the track for you.

Manuka Lodge Bed and Breakfast is located just 10 minutes’ walk from the Ohakune town centre. The property features a jacuzzi, free WiFi and free on-site parking.

Built in 1912 and offering budget, backpacker-style accommodation in a charming historic building, National Park Alpine Lodge features free WiFi in communal areas and both Netflix and satellite channels in the shared lounge area. It is located in National Park Village, 25 km from Mount Ruapehu. Free private parking is available on site. I felt like home. Joyce is super nice! The Lodge has everything you need: comfortable bed, big kitchen, good wifi, a nice and comfy common area, hot water, groceries. The place is quiet and very well located for tongariro national park (you take shuttle buses and Joyce can take you to Whakapapa).
