This host is very generous it is obvious they want you to feel at home and valued guests. Eggs, bread, plenty of cereals and fresh fruit, yoghurt etc. and then the extras to make you feel really at home. There’s no shops so the chocolate, chips and biscuits are a very thoughtful addition.we wil recommend and come stay again for sure.

Perfect location within Tongarironationalpark - good start up point for one day Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Chris is really friendly. Room is wonderfully equipped.

Riversong er staðsett í Ohakune, 38 km frá Ruapehu-fjalli og 34 km frá Turoa. Boðið er upp á garð og útsýni yfir ána. Gististaðurinn státar af sameiginlegu eldhúsi og lautarferðarsvæði. The hosts were so lovely and welcoming, and their home was very comfortable and cosy.

Frankie & Hugh's er hluti af stærra húsi og er enduruppgerð íbúð með eldunaraðstöðu í Ohakune, í aðeins 20 mínútna akstursfjarlægð frá Turoa-skíðasvæðinu á Ruapehu-fjalli. Frankie and Hugh's felt like home away from home. Marlene and Wayne were great host and made every effort to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We found the property clean, spacious and well maintained. The breakfast was good and we very much enjoyed our stay at the property.

Ranfurly Cottage er staðsett í sögulega bænum Raetihi. Ókeypis WiFi er í boði. Hvert herbergi er með verönd og sérbaðherbergi með ókeypis snyrtivörum. Gestir geta notið garðútsýnis frá herberginu. What wonderfull greeting from Alison and Ron and what a beautiful accommodation. Very comfy beds, each with own shower room (small but very functional). Alsion had already setup the table for breakfast the next morning, cereal, croissants, milk, juice, butter, jams ..... use of microwave, fridge, washing machine.Gas fireplace made it very cosy and our son was super happy to have the extra TV channels to watch the football world cup. Unfortunatly only stayed one night so did not see much of outside ameneties of the village but would have happilly stayed 4-5 days extra ... specially due to such a wonderfull, welcoming, helpfull couple, Alison and Ron !

My partner and I stayed at the River Lodge during our Christmas/ summer holiday and it was EXCEPTIONAL. Cleanest room we have ever stayed in. The hosts are fantastic, great vibes all round! The included breakfast was delicious and we had all the amenities we needed. Well worth the price and experience away from a chain hotel. The setting is so green, relaxing and warm. We slept so well as it was so quiet. Highly recommend you stay here if you are planning to hike the Tongariro Alpine Crossing - Dani can organise a direct shuttle to/from the track for you.

National Park Alpine Lodge var byggt árið 1912 og býður upp á lággjaldagistirými í bakpokastíl í heillandi sögulegri byggingu. I felt like home. Joyce is super nice! The Lodge has everything you need: comfortable bed, big kitchen, good wifi, a nice and comfy common area, hot water, groceries. The place is quiet and very well located for tongariro national park (you take shuttle buses and Joyce can take you to Whakapapa).
