The best place I have stayed during my one month trip. Cozy, clean impeccably, daily cleaning. Great breakfast. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. The bus from Lima was late and I arrived late in the evening, they waited until 23.00 for me to check in. The owners also run the best travel agency in the town and arranged few great ascents for me. Highly recommend for relax and for mountaineers, who intend to hike and climb the mountains nearby.

Featuring a garden and a shared lounge, Casa de Ana B&B is set in Huaraz. The property features mountain and garden views, and is 1.1 km from Estadio Rosas Pampa. The host made me feel at home, breakfast was really good, she even gave me coco leaves since stores were closed. The host also got up early to make us breakfast since we were leaving for our trek at 6AM. Location is very close to the collectivo points, making it super convenient for us trekkers. The host was very informational, provided us estimates for collectivo prices, found us a garage to leave our car with a competitive price and good food options. The hosts were also able to communicate in English very well and we had no issues with language. The host was also flexible with our stay, as we had to change around dates and she was able to accommodate on the spot. Good Wi-Fi to remotely work, just needed to switch between the available WiFis but worked well.

Located 500 metres from the main square and 400 metres from Oltursa bus station, Hostal Universal offers free Wi-Fi and 24-hour front desk assistance in Huaraz. Lovely couple are managing this hotel who are very helpful with everything. The room was clean, comfy and the sheets warm. I got a nice hot shower with amazing pressure as well as great wifi connection. will highly recommend!

With river views, Hacienda Norabuena is located in Recuay and has a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, bar, garden, sun terrace and outdoor fireplace. Melissa and her husband were wonderful hosts, welcoming us onto their property with a tour of the grazing lands behind the hotel, introducing us to all their animals (friendly dogs, llamas, sheep, cattle, chickens, rabbits), and conversing with us throughout the evening. They gave us advice on our trip through Peru and seemed genuinely interested in our travels. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and secluded. They cooked dinner (15 soles, I think) and breakfast for us (2-3 soles pp) and both were delicious with farm fresh eggs.

We loved the staff, they were friendly, kind, communicative, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond for us. They also spoke English very well, which is not common in Huaraz, so that made this stay a lot easier for us because we are not strong Spanish speakers. The rooms and the bathroom were clean. The location was quiet so we were able to sleep well. Hot water was available (the labels were incorrect but there was hot water nonetheless). We had good phone signal/reception and wifi was available. The hotel staff also booked our tours for us which helped make our trip smooth and easy. They also offered to make us breakfast for a small fee since we had to be up really early for our tours. This was such a pleasant stay, I highly recommend.
