Mario and his wife are the most friendly and helpful hosts! We absolutely loved our stay at their place and the walking tours of the island that Mario gave us each day. The meals they cooked us were so delicious that I had to ask for the soup recipe when we left. They happily answered all of our questions about the island and their culture. We even got to see Mario dance in the Fiesta de Santiago, which was incredible!

Beautiful island and the accommodations were comfortable! Very cool experience getting to stay with the family and learning more about life on the island. Located in Huillanopampa in the Taquile Island region, WHITE SAND Taquile Lodge features a terrace and mountain views. With lake views, this accommodation provides a balcony. Edwin was super helpful and caring so I could arrive the accomodation without any problem. Views were astonishing and the peace was out of this world. Food was nice too. They gave me a better room than the one I booked because they had it free for that night.

Urpi Wasi Backpackers, a property with a shared lounge, is set in Puno, 300 metres from San Antonio Church, 500 metres from Plaza de Armas Puno, as well as 400 metres from Huajsapata Hill. The owner of the hostel is great, super helpful! Also, the mattress at this hostel are amazing!! Slept soo well there. The 8 person dorm room is very spacious and has got everything you need. Really enjoyed my stay here and i would love to come back!
