This accommodation is a very good starting point for discovering the Mafate area. The owner is a very nice lady. Not far from the accommodation is very nice local restaurant with nice food. It was bad for us that the lady doesn't speak English and we don't speak French :-(. Nevertheless, we agreed on everything that was needed. Breakfast is rich and varied, but you have to be able to choose ;-) - we initially did not understand the system. You are choosing 1 piece of cheese, for example, not 1 portion :-). The rooms are quite large, but for three people with backpacks it is so so. We were lucky that no one was accommodated in the other rooms, and we could use the common areas with the kitchen.

Also the place where the hotel is located. offers great views as you wake up in a valley between mountains. Just amaizng.

Despite my lack of French, the lady greeted me warmheartedly and tried her best to communicate over breakfast. It was absolutely lovely and adorable. I'll definitely will be back. This place is worth every penny to get an authentic Réunion mountain experience.
