Wow, what an amazing place! Both the lodge and the area itself. It was way better and way less complicated and "rough" than I thought so I'll leave a detailed review. I flew to Nuqui from Medellin EOH in 30 min with Clic air/ex-EasyFly (which I recommend, they have new ATRs, bigger planes than others flying here which is helpful if you get turbulence along the way). Flights were on time both ways. After you pay the Nuqui entrance tax, you turn slightly left and then right and walk 2-300 meters to the tourist port/muelle turístico. Claro and Tigo have coverage here but if you have another Colombian SIM you are covered too due to Roaming Automático Nacional (I got H+ speeds with my SIM from WOM, not sure if having a SIM from Claro gets you 4G or the same; speed was enough for browsing and posting pics, don't think it works for video call). Previously you would have messaged the host (on wapp) who sends a boat/lancha to pick you up. 2-3$ and 10 min later (this trips itself is nice) you are at the lodge. The tent I had was right by the beach and the area had hammocks and a comunal, new and clean, bathroom/shower area. Shower water is not hot but not cold either, it feels fresh. You can buy food, drinks, water, coconut etc from the host, very affordable. This stretch of beach can be reached only by boat and the accommodation is the only one in the area so you'll have kms of beach by yourself (+ crabs/cangrejos haha). It's very easy to travel to Nuqui, the lancha that got you here can be called for you by the host (Niqui has more places to eat, grocery stores, pharmacy etc so no need to overplan things like I did haha; host can help you to even get food delivery from Nuqui!). The whale watching tour that the host booked for me was very nice too and not only it includes whale (and dolphins!) watching but it also goes to a nice, more populated beach area and to Termales.

Very friendly thanks to Chloé and to the owner of the property.
Very good breakfast (bedt bread ever) made by Chloé who also bake delicious Pizzas or cook other tasty dishes I didn't get the chance to eat.
Nuquí
Facing the seafront in Nuquí, Reserva Natural Selva Mojada has a garden and a shared lounge. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. Surrounded by jungle, overlooking the sea and with its own beach, this is a truly special place - very remote and peaceful. The accommodation is simple but comfortable and clean. The family that run it are really lovely people and we felt well looked after. Terlis made us nice food and Henry took us out on his little boat to see the whales. Listening to the sounds of the jungle at night and watching the whales passing by from the balcony was a magical experience. At the moment there are only a few rooms so we were the only guests for some of our stay, which made it all the more special. It’s worth bringing more cash than you think you’ll need - there are no ATMs and they only accept cash - plus you’ll need money to pay for meals at Selva Mojada (there’s nowhere else nearby to get food) as well as any activities you do.

Rustic cabin right on the beach. Hammocks on the terrace. Great place to relax, read a book and disconnect. Staff were kind. Made me breakfast at 6am on my last day (completely unexpected) when I was waiting for the boat back to Nuqui. No phone signal or WiFi.
Amazing location right by the beach, and a lovely welcome by Salomon and his family. The food is good, the perfect place to relax and recharge the batteries. Simple room but very comfortable and clean, including a mosquito net.
The food was really good, the bathroom and shower super clean! The hosts were always very friendly and helpful! We had the whole beach to ourselves, as there were no other Lodges on the beach. Stayed for 3 nights, which was perfect.
The beach is beautiful. During the weekend, there are local people celebrating life, during the week it is rather calm with the mighty ocean at your doorstep. Amazing food (if you eat fish)! The hike to Playa de los Deseos is worth the effort, huge, empty beach about 45 minutes walking through the jungle. If the electricity works, the internet is also pretty good.
The energy of the place as soon as you land on the beach infront of the hostel attracts you and you soon wish you could stay there longer than planned. Very clean facilities, very comfortable and homey place. Staff with big heart and in you can feel they put alot of love and effort in the hostel. Loved the tiny details that made the place feel like home. Delicious food and chef using fresh ingredients every day (fish in a million ways). Lots of hikes and activities to do around. Thanks Adrian and the team for this beautiful experience:)
This place is something special. Estefania and Giovanni went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They offer services like homecooked meals, organizing your activities, and much more. We felt very much at home in our beautiful private apartment at Popochos. The lodges are just steps away from a gorgeous beach which you will have to yourself. Nuqui is already a dream but our stay at Popochos made it unforgettable. As an extra bonus, the hostel dog Rocky is always there to accompany you on some adventures if you wish!
The layout of the hostel is cool. A few different floors for hangout. The hammocks, location to the beach, and staff were great.
The hosts were really friendly and welcoming. The communication worked pretty well even we dont speak any spanish. It was very clean and the beach was just 2 minutes away and beautiful. The port and airport is near. Just a 10 minutes walk to get there. Its not in the middle of the village but thats why its very quiet and beautiful. And the coffee was very good ☺️
Very clean, very friendly owners and close to both the beach and the town of El Valle. A suggestion is to have a place to cook for yourself.
