The host is really friendly and welcoming, what makes you feel good straightaway. The room is really comfortable and clean, with a balcony to relax. We had a great sleep!! The buffet for breakfast and the possibility to sit outside is perfect!
Only 5 minutes away from Altausersee and way cheaper than the surrounding housing, it's very convenient. I highly recommend and will not hesitate to choose again Alpenpension if I'm coming back to the region.

Excellent property just 15kms away from main Hallstatt. The drive was pleasant. The rooms are a bit far away from the main reception building but the view from the balcony was awesome. The restaurant is good too.

You can also find nice little beaches when walking along the lake, not many people around. Not many places to eat, but the food in our hotel restaurant was delicious, very high level!MariannaRussia

Lake Grundlsee is a beautiful quiet location, very suitable for family holidays, pleasant swimming, fishing in the lake. The apartment was cosy, clean, superbly equipped, e.g. many kitchen appliances, washing machine etc. The hosts were very friendly, helpful, gave us tips on excursions and events in the area, were interested in us all the time to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. Also I need to mention the lady who was responsible for the apartments, she was very kind and helpful. At one point we mentioned to her the toaster would come in handy and the next day she brought it in. We can highly recommend this place!

Andreas told us the history of the land/house which goes back to the 1100s. The property has been in the family since the 1600s and a vacation property since 1745. It has been renovated to modern standards. It is just a great spot to enjoy the great benefits of Austria.
