Great town with many shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes.

Great town with many shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes. Saturday morning market was impressive. Coast line tram service runs up most of the Belgium coast (we had a day in Ostend). Sea front is clean tidy, beach is massive (beach huts available for hire). Train station is accessible by tram.

Although a small town, the centre is very full with shops, food stalls and restraurant. Fries, ice-cream and chocolate are all there. Although as :Belgium, I'd expect way more chocolate shops. The beach is long and not crowded. It is fitted with cabins that can be rented. There is an amusement park (and water park) which can make for a fun day out. You'd need to book it. There are not halal food places around, and the closest thing is across the French border (~20KM).

There was a market in the centre that was lively and full of interesting things. De Panne is expensive and even moderate restaurants cost Euro 70/80 for two. THe beach is long and sandy so ideal for those with children.

    Hidden gem.

Hidden gem. Miles of soft sand, with sheltered eating/drinking restaurants on the beach. Miles of promenade, easily accessed with the hire of a bicycle or cart. The town has remarkable architecture, reflecting th history of late 19th century grandeur right up to on going developments.

Warm and friendly Manager, rooms are above the bar and breakfast area, clean and well presented. Lovely old styled Bar was well priced, and the bar quiet the night we stayed. Breakfast is pre-ordered and a full choice, served with refills of tea &coffee as required. Just of the main road and easy to find in a small village. would stay again for sure!

I booked the wrong dates, but the receptionist was quick to re arrange our reservation and gave us 2 rooms opposite of each other, the kids loved it so much, we had our own private corner. breakfast was great, lots to choose from, a waffle maker, the croissants were really fresh and sweet, amazing fruit. The location is also good, we went to Plopsa with the tram, 2 minute walk from the hotel, 2 stops. There was a little Christmas village, we had good pizza.. Overall we had a great time, the kids don't want to leave :(

Do you fancy a real hotel, far from the hipster-ish standards? An old but gold kind of thing with wooden walls and a nice terrace outside? Then Montana is for you. We spent there 2 night and then decided to stay for two more, so this explains a lot :) Super close to the beach but not so close to hear the noise of people chatting and strolling. Very good breakfast, a nice family room with all the necessary comfort. Super clean and the owners were very kind. All seems familiar and you feel like home.

Friendly staff, central location but still quiet. We had the apartment, which is around the corner of the hotel in a separate apartment complex. The apartment was very clean with ample space and two double beds. The apartment complex has parking spaces for 20€/night although it is relatively easy to find a spot in De Panne. Breakfast is good and served in a pleasantly decorated room.

I made the reservation very last minute, like a day before, but this was not a problem. Everything was clean when we arrived, there was some food in the fridge, clean towels in the bathroom. Every morning at 8am the breakfast arrived. My son loved the bunk bed and wanted to stay longer. It is really close to Plopsaland, which was great in our case.

We are very happy that we found this hotel! It was in a perfect location in the middle of the center, with walking distance to the beach. The hotel was really cute and cozy, and our balcony was very nice with sun in the evening. The restaurant where we had breakfast was super cozy!! I will definitely stay here next time I go to De Panne.

Louise met us at the door, she was very friendly and showed us around. The studio is literally 10 seconds from the beach and a 20/25 minute walk on the beach from the Westhoek nature reserve which is why we wanted to stay in De Panne. The studio was super clean and well equipped. It is also very luminous.

Very clean and tidy. Well equipped and maintained to a high standard. Plenty of space for a family of 4 and conveniently located for the beach or Plopsaland. There are no negatives. If you are considering a few places for a family of 4 in De Panne - just book this one.
