View was great, but the unpainted concrete walls on the patio ruined it a bit. Parking is free and plenty of space. Kitchen is very clean and has enough pots and dishes.

The view was excellent and the accommodations were good for our family of 4 (with 2 adult children). The kitchen was in general well furnished. The beds were fine and there was adequate extra pillows and blankets. The shower was very good, very quick hot water with good pressure. The owner provided excellent directions and instructions for finding the chalet and finding the right parking place. The key lock box was good so we could arrive at any time.
Les Montagnards has a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Broc. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and Forum Fribourg is 21 miles away.

The staff was very helpful upon check-in and even allowed me to check in a little earlier which was great because I could drop my luggage in the room and get out to experience the Gruyere Castle earlier than I thought. The view was incredible, it faced the mountains and Gruyere Castle. I was able to open the window and enjoy the air. It was a very clean and quiet room. Wish I stayed there more than a night.
Beautiful hilltop medieval town with so-so castle, great...
Beautiful hilltop medieval town with so-so castle, great views, ambiance, a great cheese manufacturing tour, some lovely hotels, a Tibetan museum, and a museum of the works of the disturbed anti-human artist HR Giger. If you are into easy-moderate hiking, the Callier chocolate factory, or the nearby towns (Broc or Moreson) Mt., it will be worth more than one day.
I took a lovely hike to Broc on a trail found in the app, AllTrails. This was very worthwhile.

Although very small, Gruyères is one of the most beautiful places in the world! The fondue is not to be missed at any restaurant, and both the castle and the Giger museum and bar are a must for any visiter.

Great location, easy parking. The room was clean.
Great location, easy parking. The room was clean. The room was clearly the worst room in the hotel, facing the parking lot so it was extremely loud, when the cars were leaving. It seemed like the room had 0 sound isolation, we could hear everything. The staff was not very friendly and clearly did not care for us as guests, I needed to ask extra times for information about what to do and see around.
Not very good value for money in my opinion

Picturesque old town, pleasant castle, traditional cheese based menu’s available at multiple restaurants. Very pastoral and serene countryside with views of valleys and mountains. Helicopter sightseeing flight from Gruyere airport with SwissHelicopter was fantastic (defined packages available but can in-effect charter the helicopter by the minute to customise your experience... cheaper than you might expect!). The pilot was fabulous, and the views wonderful.

Gruyeres is a picturesque small village that can be toured in a morning or afternoon. We had a fondue dinner at Hotel de Ville and breakfast at Auberge de la Halle - both highly recommended. Parking is outside of the village and all is accessible on foot, equivalent in size to 2-3 large city blocks. Especially liked the castle and Giger bar (did not tour the museum).

We went to visit the HR Giger museum.
We went to visit the HR Giger museum. But the village is very popular with tourists from all over the world. Everyone was very friendly. I would imagine it’s a good base to visit other areas. We got a bus very easily to Moléson so getting around was simple. We only stayed one night so didn’t get to see lots. It’s a beautiful village but that does mean lots of tourists who come in time for lunch we found. I would imagine if you didn’t book a table for lunch you might wait. By dinner we found everyone had left so was much quieter. We stayed early October so might be different other time’s of the year
Incredibly beautiful views from the room. The room was clean and comfortable albeit a tad small. The staff was very nice and helpful; they told us about coupons to save on all the attractions we wanted to see. Additionally, we requested extra pillows on booking.com, and found them waiting in our room (we requested this at several hotels on our road trip and this was the only hotel that provided them).
Nice and beautiful little hotel in the middle of the charming town of Gruyere.
The staff was ultra friendly and very helpful, we needed some tickets for a special event at the Giger Museum and they organized them for us to assure we wont face a sold out or have to do a line at the Museum, was a very nice detail from them.
Restaurant is very beautiful with a great view and food was delicious.
Perfect location in the middle of everything in Gruyères. Very hospitable owners and lovely place with a terrace and small kitchen. Stand up shower which we love (no getting in and out of a tub bath!). We used the terrace a lot and really enjoyed it. Overall, much nicer than staying in any hotel for the space and terrace alone. We would definitely stay here again when in Gruyères.
The hotel is really in the heart of the town. It has a very nice vibe, and we particularly enjoyed the care of the staff to make our stay as good as possible. For example, we were relaxing at their lounge and one of the staff came and lit up the fire in the fireplace - to offer us a much warmer atmosphere. The breakfast has an excellent buffet with high-quality products.
The location is unbeatable - within the town walls, right on the main square. Our apartment was in an annex to the main hotel building, but right next door. Our apartment was very spacious - over 2 levels, freshly and tastefully refurbished. It has all the amenities. It overlooks the main square on one side and rolling hills and fields on the other side.
The owner of the property is present in the premises and it is an extremely affable person! We did have some issues with the key as we arrived late on the second night and the reception was locked. We were not aware of this and had to take a room in the neighbouring hotel. The owner waived the charges on our request without any fuss! Great attitude!!!!
The location was incredible; so beautiful! lt is within the town fortified by castle walls and close to both the castle and the Maison de Gruyères. The Maison Cailler was only an hour walk away. The room was also very close to some beautiful nature views. Chantal was very welcoming and accomodating and speaks English well
Historical building with lovely woodwork. Included breakfast was good. Loved the location being right in the center of Gruyere. We could pull up in front of the hotel to unload but the car had to be parked in the parking lots available. Beautiful little town with lots to look at, all within walking distance.
We enjoyed staying at a historical building in the right center of Gruyères, the room was cozy and decorated as a typical Swiss chalet, very clean and comfy. Loved the views to the main fountain from the room.
As a guest you also get 10% off at the souvenir shop and the restaurant.
We choose this hotel for our wedding anniversary and were delighted by the overall experience. The breakfast has some vegan options (as in whole foods plant-based), so we were able to enjoy a cruelty-free breakfast and admire a spectacular view of the mountains.
Fabulous studio apartment with stunning views over the mountains. Lovely little balcony to sit out on. Fully equipped kitchen, huge bedroom. Just wonderful. (we moved into this room after a couple of nights in a room to the front of the hotel, so glad we did!)
Beautiful location, with beautiful views of the mountains around it and the Gruyeres Castle. Not in the village center but very close to it. Very nice and kind staff. Very good breakfast. Room was comfortable, good beds.
Hotel Fleur de Lys is a charming Swiss hotel set in an historic old town. Location is great. The room was clean and comfortable, and the ambiance of the hotel delightful. Staff was great. Parking.
The hotel is located in the historic center of Gruyeres. The hotel has a restaurant where guests can eat inside, not outside as in other restaurants (coronavirus restrictions ....).
