The historic courtyard was beautiful and in a relatively quiet spot, and the room was quite comfortable with very modern restroom facilities.
The owner was also very hospitable, helping us carry luggage up the stairs and also connected us to a driver to get to our next hotel in Lijiang. Breakfast was tasty and had quite a few options available, we particularly liked the rice noodles.

It was perfect. I'm usually skeptical when there's a place with a 10/10 rating, but this one definitely deserved it! Not only is the room itself spacious, clean and beautiful, it has a really good view through the surrounding windows (don't worry, there are blinds everywhere if you want to close it off)
Situated next to the old town is a blessing as it's too touristy there, but close enough to walk in it, if you want to.
The hostess is fantastic! She is just a very nice, open and communicative person who makes the stay more than pleasant. Not only did she offer homemade food to try, but added us on WeChat to give us tips throughout the day.
