The hotel was ideally located in the main square in Cesky Krumlov. The staff were very pleasant and there were plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Our room was on the third floor which was the top floor and there were quite a number of stairs to walk up as there were no lifts. Although we could manage these stairs, some people might find them more difficult and if you feel this might be a problem, it might be advisable to see if you can arrange a room on a lower floor. The staff did however offer to carry any luggage up to the rooms.

We were greeted by a lovely lady when we arrived and this continued throughout our stay. The one thing that lets this hotel down is the breakfast that is provided. Yes, it’s a buffet breakfast but when you take away all the processed foods and foods that look as though they are the remains of “last night’s” dinner there in’t much. The eggs that were provided were “grey” and we felt that if you ate them you would get sick! The so called fruit juice was just water with a slight bit of cordial added. Nothing like the picture that is displayed inside the lift and really let the property down.

The Ultimate Bohemian Rhapsody
The charm of this enchanting fairy tale city in the Czech Republic is best experienced during winter when snow covers magical Český Krumlov Castle. Lying along the banks of the Vltava River, the historic old town comes alive during summer when cafes and restaurants overflow with the influx of tourists.
The castle makes an imposing backdrop against narrow cobblestone streets and a mixture of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture in its old buildings. Choose an art gallery, museum or theatre like the 17th-century
Castle Baroque Theatre, located inside the castle’s beautiful gardens.
Walking around Český Krumlov’s historic streets is a journey back in time, and the best way to soak up its Bohemian atmosphere. Your walk can be easily interrupted at one of the many cafés, restaurants and bars serving local dishes and drinks.

The town is like a fairy tale, with a beautifully preserved old town and beautiful buildings from the Middle Ages. It is not big, so it can be visited in 2 days, but it is certainly a unique experience, observing the panorama of the city or wandering through the narrow streets. Vltava gives the whole impression an additional charm.

The town is beautiful and the castle very impressive.
The town is beautiful and the castle very impressive. It felt a bit like Disneyland, though, with the hordes of tourists everywhere. We were surprised when we walked back into town in the evening for dinner and found the streets empty! All the day-trippers had left. We enjoyed the castle tours; I was a tad disappointed to not see any tours for the theater online in English the day we were there, and then to discover that there was one just after the tour we went on (in German)! It didn't look full, either. We spent two nights / 1.5 days there, and that was plenty.

There are many places.to.go.for a walk, you only need to.go.and discover them!
There is an area with supermarkets out of.town but yoi.can go there on foot. However, If you don't have time for that walk, you will find some potraviny shops in town which are open till.late.
It is better to.go.in.summer because everytjing is open all day and you can explore.the place.in the day light.

I hope I never have to see Český Krumlov again.
I hope I never have to see Český Krumlov again. If so, I'll stay in a campsite (though the penzion wasn't the problem); much better to visit on a canoe trip. Hideously high prices and and as few locals as in Venice. Gigabites of fake Instagram grins and very little of real interest. The Art Centre was a disappointment with few originals from Egon Schiele but the food: I have never seen so much profiteering with so little by way of quality or service culture. The travel hostel was the exception, though I hesitate to write this down unless it sees fit to gouge prices.
I liked the river and some of the walks. And it irritated me less on a Wednesday when many tourists had left.

In this period of the year the little town is very calmy and silent. Only bad experience that most of the sights and the museum were closed at this time. There not so much to do, I found it very bad from tourist side. Xmas decorations are only now to come, however in the neighborhood in Budovice the main square was full with decoration and Xmas fair. Lot of bars was closed, there was not so much to do there at this time. Thus this the city is wonderful, the castle area geourgeos, but we loved to check the old theatre or the tower.

Love the mood of this hostel which really made me feel at home. The fairytale-like but vintage decoration matches with the whole city of Cesky Krumlov :)
The staff was incredibly nice and gave me a map with all the interesting free spots and activities to see around. I really appreciated the possibility I had to drop my luggage in the room after my check-out, so I was able to enjoy my stay even longer.
The location is good, in a central area of Cesky Krumlov which remains calm though
The location is amazing, directly in the center of Cesky Krumlov. It is like 7 minutes walk from the P3, where we parked. The hotel will come and pick you up from P3, if you come with the car and charge the parking fee to the room. The hotel owner is very friendly. In the hotel there’s a public area, where there’s water, instant coffee, tea and some fruits for free. The room is clean, nicely decorated, very cozy.
We stayed at hotel Gold for one night and it is exceptional! We had a room with river view which is amazing! We requested an aditional bed, everything was clean and very comfortable. Staff is super friendly.
The hotel is almost at the town centre and it was a few minutes walk from the castle of Cesky Krumlov.
We arrived by car and having a parking by the hotel was very convenient.
Vladimir was very helpful and accommodating. He offered us coffee in the morning and plenty of recommendations on what to do around Cesky Krumlov. With a late departure from Cesky Krumlov he was happy to let us leave our bags for the day, and let us freshen up before we left in the evening.
a fantastic location, very clean, beautiful place. would highly recommend, we will be back!
Everything is amazing with this place!
The room is really big and the view of the old city and the castle are nice.
Owners were great and gave us recommendation for restaurants and things to do. The breakfast was the best I have ever had!
Also, very close to the center, only few minutes of walk.
Would recommend this hotel to everyone who's around!
Nice European country style hotel and room located in the quiet area with great view to see Cesky Krumlov old town. The hotel is very close to the bus station, which you won’t break your luggages by pulling all the way into the old town (stone road). The owner Eva is very friendly and kind. We got a good memory here.
The hotel room was quite big, well air contiditioned. Especially, the included breakfast was very satisfying in the morning. I was looking for cheaper options prior to coming Cesky Krumlov and this hotel the cheapest but much better than its price. I won't search for any other hotel if I'll go there again.
The place is in a great location central to everything. Decoration, style, and cleanliness to another level. Now this is not where it ends, you get to meet Eva and Kristian the hosts of the pension. They are amazing friendly people so kind and down to earth.
Definitely a must in Český Krumlov
Small hotel right on the outskirt of Cesky Krumlov. Excellent value, and just a short picturesque stroll to the town centre and less than 5 minutes to the castle.
Clean and simple room, with good modern facilities. We went in winter and it was quiet and peaceful.
Location near the bus stop. If you have to drag a huge luggage, there is the good selection.” Hotel is look like old castle, interior is fantastic. Room and bathroom are comfortable. The one of best view point are steps in front of hotel.
Everything
The host , Maria, is a super host . She is very helpful and always smiles
The room is more than perfect with beautiful
view of castle from terrace.
I will definitely stay here again if I visit Cesky Krumlov next time.
Fantastic location- just few steps from the castle. Beautiful room, comfy beds- we slept so wel! I even could charge my EV (fee applicable).
Český Krumlov is one of my favourite !
Great location in an old building, the apartment was spacious and comfortable for our family of 4 adults
The view from the balcony was a bonus
Cesky Krumlov is insanely lovely
Location is convenient. 5 min walk to the castle. P2 (about 16 Euro per day) is just next to the apartment though P1 is much cheaper but one needs to walk at least 500 meters.
The hotel was really nice and very central in Cesky Krumlov. Everything was clean and the bed was really comfortable. All the staff were super friendly and helpful!
Český Krumlov is very nice, and the hotel gives you access to Český Krumlov. The location is outside the old town, but close enough to walk there in a few minutes.
