Alles was vorher bewertet war. The room was great, the people were very friendly and so helpful, and the sauna/pool/spa area was super. The only disappointment was that we set up a birthday dinner table (which happened) and a birthday breakfast table (which did not happen because people took our table and moved our number).

Lovely quiet town on the Elbe river.
Lovely quiet town on the Elbe river. Well connected with roads, publish transport including river ferries. Plenty to do and excellent excursions fronm the town, eg hiking, mountain biking. Good indoor pool incl. wellness / spa centre. You need to book restaurants for dinner in the high season. And by 9pm its quite quiet, so not a lot of night life!MartinGermany - 10Scored 10

Bad Schandau area has a lot to offer and unfortunately we only spent one night here. I would have liked to stay another2-3 nights to do some hiking and bike riding in the area. I had a very good Thai Massage very close to the hotel. Town is pretty quiet at night with not a big selection for restaurants.

Town is charming with a large green area along the stream. Access to hiking in the National Park is very good and many trails leave from the various bus stops. Several good restaurants and bakeries are available and a good grocery store. In all, it is a good place for walkers!

Small town Germany!
Small town Germany! I loved the views of the river; we took a bike ride on nice easy paths down to the Czech border and back the other side. Trains made this very accessible from Dresden. Bad Schandau itself is a great place to visit if you like hiking and being in nature. The views are spectacular and there are hikes to suit every level of fitness. There's also a big spa to soak your weary muscles (COVID restrictions allowing). It's not amazing for dining or culture, but it does have a few decent restaurants and a couple of good supermarkets if you have cooking facilities.ShellyGermany

It was right beside a little stream and at night you could hear it running by the flat. Every room has its own balcony and the air is clean and fresh. The central area of Bad Schandau is within a 10-minute walk through a very pleasant park, and there are many good hikes that start only 5 minutes from the Saxonia. The place itself was clean and spacious and had everything I needed. The concierge was very pleasant and easy going. My dog also loved it!ShellyGermany

Delicious breakfast buffet with large variety! The ferry stop is right out front and the hotel gives their guests a ticket to use all public transport, including the ferry and the Kirnitzschtalbahn for free during the period of our stay.

The breakfast was fabulous and beds were comfortable.
