Beautiful old city, 16/17th century houses marvelously rennovated and maintained, many restaurants, splendid farmers' market on Saturdays (every second?), with Heidschnucke sausages, organic beef and pouktry, organic veggies, lovely museums and cafes, beautiful park and castle/pałace, very good public transport system, public bike system too, well connected by train - very good destination.

This is a great place to see a 400 year old city and very pleasant, small and walkable old town. The quietness but attractiveness of Celle is really great. The castle is the home of the English royal family so the historical importance of Celle is multi-national. Spend at least 2 days here.

Celle is my hometown, it was my first visit in 11 years.
Celle is my hometown, it was my first visit in 11 years. I was disappointed that parking was very poor, specially for handicapped people like myself! Evidently foreign handicap placards are not recognized or accepted by parking officials. I received 2 tickets for parking in a handicap spot, in spite of displaying my handicap placard! Traffic is a nightmare. Sadly, I don't think I'll return again.

Celle was as a hidden pearl to us.
Celle was as a hidden pearl to us.
We chose to stay there because it is near Belgium. 500 km to go to end our road trip through the North of Germany.
It is a renaissance city with lovely houses, nice church, and a nice castle.
Not too big with shopping facilities.
We made a walk around the city and visited the castle and the park.
At the end of july there was a wine-market.

the food outlets were great not that I remember any names and the palace which is under going renovation work, It was a great location to start from to visit other places such as Hannover and Hameln. there is also a great market and a boot fair at the weekends
I liked everything. The most perfect hotel with ideal location, with a bus stop at the door, bakerye, coffee & fruits opposite, railway station behind the corner, 10mins walk or bus to the park and old town. Very clean, very kind, very convenient in terms of accesibility. Room is lovely, with an electric water jug, fridge, sink, cooker and the most necessary kitchen equipment. Simply amazing:)
Celle itself was a pleasant surprise (we stopped just to cut a long journey home), as was the hotel. A narrow doorway to our room gave us a little scare, but the room definitely was big enough. Clean room, comfortable beds and a bathroom where you actually could be two at the same time. Helpful staff (there were no parking around, but they helped us).
Great hotel, it looks like a business district ordinary hotel, but it has the level of service of a 4 stars hotel with the price of a 3 star hotel: service above all is exceptional, breakfast is above what you could expect there, situation right next to the old town of Celle, easy parking.. What a good surprise.
Fantastic breakfast, perfect Location. Staff very attentive, polite and friendly.
Requests responded to immediately i.e. for mattress topper, and extra coffee in room one morning.
A lovely hotel. If visiting Celle again, we would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone visiting Celle.
no correlation what so ever between information provided by the hotel , to the actual services and facilities provided. were offered room which can be defined as donjon ,and only after we voiced our discontent ,more suitable accommodation was offered although in its own , provide poor value for money.
The apartment was spacious, very clean & had everything for a very comfortable stay. Location was excellent right in the historical center. The host Joachim was friendly & extremely helpful. Parking was close by, arranged by Joachim so very easy.
The hotel is in a historic house with a wonderful garden. The breakfast was very good. It is servered in a nice room with a historic flair, overlooking the garden. We arrived late in the evening, but could easily get access by means of a key-box.
The location was excellent and very close to the old center of town (appr.10 mins walk). Nice carpark behind the hotel. Huge choice of TV channels. Excellent breakfast with wide variety of food and drinks. Very attentive and polite staff.
Good price. Good beds. Parking possibility. Bathroom was good, towels were comfy. Close to the center. The pub/restaurant very welcoming (apparently one of the oldest in Germany)
The Neun is convenient to train station and about a 15 minute to central Altstadt. Has free parking. Owners are very nice and helpful. Comfortable room, good wifi. Quiet.
