Loved this town because it's like going back in time, when people aren't in a hurry and take pride in their town and their food, culture, etc. Proud that they survivied WW2, and the importance to educating their children about it. Had a lovely tour about that. Went to great restaurants that our hotel Hotel D'Argouges recommended for us. Le Pommier and Le Volet Qui Penche!! Like to go back when it's warmer to see the beautiful flowers in bloom, we went 3/8, so I would like to go back in April sometime.

Do not stay here, this hotel is unkept, dirty, run down, and in dire need of maintenance. The room was not what we booked, so we were forced into a tiny cramped room. I had to sleep with half of the lamp hanging over the bed. The window wouldn’t close, we were in the second floor but still unsafe

Bayeux is a lovely magical little town!
The architecture is just magical, the people are kind and the energy around is just lovely, I had an amazing loving New Year's weekend.
I love the Farmers Market on Saturday!
From the private car parking, the warm welcome, the delightful room with modern bathroom and lovely view of the hotel's patio garden, to the comfortable breakfast room - all was perfect. The receptionists were extremely helpful with restaurant suggestions and reservations. And, location, location, location. Turn right out of the hotel and you are immediately on the 'main' street with all the fun shops and restaurants. Also an easy walk to the Normandy Museum and to the see The Tapestry.
The hotel was really close to the Bayeux train station, less than 5 min walk, and the staff was lovely to let me check in early. The rooms are a nice size with comfortable beds and breakfast is a typical french breakfast with coffee and pastries. The hotel is not too far from the bus that takes you to Omaha beach or other WWII memorial sites if you are there for the history. Definitely would stay again and highly recommend it.
We had a fabulous stay. An oasis centrally located in Bayeux. Our hosts, Gilles and Michael were most welcoming and entertaining. Prior to arriving we got in touch and they organised our dinner reservations for our stay which were all great. The gardens are a beautiful place to relax in and the breakfasts are delicious. Our stay has become one of our fondest memories of our trip to France.
We needed one room for one night for a family of 4 and stayed in the top annex room. Perfect place to lay our heads before our Normandy tour the next morning. Girls loved popping into the pool/hot tub after a day of traveling and breakfast was perfect with lots of drink and food options. Great central location to walk around Bayeux after dinner.
Loved this hotel beautiful room big bright and very comfortable. Right in the town centre tons of bars eating places close by. Laundromat 50 metres from the hotel. Perfect for D day tours they all
leave two minutes walk from the hotel. The lady on the front counter was so nice on arrival. I cannot recommend this hotel high enough.
Absolutely beautiful park like environment with wonderful staff with lovely rooms. Excellent restaurant and comprehensive breakfast offerings if you choose.
We were delighted to come home every day after spending time in the fascinating Normandy area. This hotel more than met our expectations, and we would gladly return.
My husband and I stayed at Villa Lara during our time in Normandy. Everything about this hotel is excellent. We will be returning to Normandy in the future and this will be the only place that we will stay. The hotel is beautiful, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful.
The home was spacious, extremely clean, huge and lovely garden to relax in. Lots of room for our family of 5 to spread out and very convenient to the Normandy beaches, Mont St Michel and the town of Bayeux. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating, such lovely people!
The ability to park my bike directly outside my room was a massive bonus. I used this hotel to to a motorbike tour of the WWII sites in Normandy and for this the hotel was perfectly located. I would recommend this place for anyone doing the same.
Beautiful hotel in the center of Bayeux, walking distance to all the historic sites. Excellent restaurant that was open for early diners. (Others in town did not open for dinner until 7:00pm, which appears to be normal in France.)
What a wonderful place to stay if your visit Normandy and Bayeux. The rooms and very blame and tidy and the hosts are very hospitable!
Great value and a nice quiet rural setting close to Bayeux.
The hotel is positioned perfectly in the town centre. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast selection was varied and good quality food. The pool area was nice and relaxing.
We were on a cycling holiday of the Normandy area. The hotel was very central to all the sights and even provided a secure room to store our bicycles in each night.
