Brioude is a very pleasant small Auvergne town.
Brioude is a very pleasant small Auvergne town. The wonderful very early basilica would compete with the cathedral in Clermont-Ferrand for architectural quality, ancient wall frescoes and atmosphere. There are at least two well reviewed restaurants in town, we will book ahead next time to get a table! Our visit was on a damp December day -the town would be even more pleasant in warmer, sunny weather.BarnabyUnited Kingdom

I love the decorations of this heritage apartment, it is their family apartment with over 300 years history! Very neat and tidy and clean! I will definitely stay here again if I come to Brioude.
