it was clean well organized and easy to find. The restaurant is absolutely magnificent. The staff and the manager are very very good. I really enjoyed my dinner there. The breakfast was great in the morning. Overall I had a wonderful experience and will return there again.

Brioude is a very pleasant small Auvergne town.
Brioude is a very pleasant small Auvergne town. The wonderful very early basilica would compete with the cathedral in Clermont-Ferrand for architectural quality, ancient wall frescoes and atmosphere. There are at least two well reviewed restaurants in town, we will book ahead next time to get a table! Our visit was on a damp December day -the town would be even more pleasant in warmer, sunny weather.

The restaurant was closed and so we ate at the sister hotel which is a 10 minute walk up the hill and had one of the best meals & service. In the morning the breakfast in the hotel was very good providing all fresh produce. We would like to stay again.
