Comfortable room at the top of an old house that has been carefully restored. Good breakfast. Walking distance to town centre, lake, and the forest walks. Owners have 2 lovely dogs, and welcomed our dog: the garden is large and walled, so perfect for our dog to run around. Room was simple but nicely decorated, good shower, quiet.

Spacious, secure storage for cycles. Lovely welcome from the host, delicious home baked traditional cake waiting for us on arrival. We are cyclists and the host went out of her way to provide us with some provisions after we found the local store was closed the next day.

Lovely small French Village/town with some life in it.
Lovely small French Village/town with some life in it. Unlike most small places, you can get a coffee or a drink any day any time (early until about 22:00 hrs) somewhere. Small, so everything is easy walking distance from wherever you park in the middle. Main economic activity is catering for French tourists with excellent walks and cycling routes. Lots of creperies and enough other things of interest to keep busy for a couple of days locally. Most people speak basic English Market day is Thursday morning - mostly food but a few cloths and plant stalls as well. Two or three reasonable restaurants in town (not Michelin quality) with one budget option. A very pretty little town with the famous Roche trembante! The lake was lovely and there was a good choice of restaurants, we particularly liked the recommended pizza restaurant and our B&B was perfectly situated for everything.

The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful without being intrusive. In addition, they have the cutest pygmy goats that you have ever seen. My wife was totally charmed by them.
