The hotel itself, whilst not in the city centre, was only a 10 minute walk along the river to the shops and the centre. Parking was behind the hotel in an enclosed yard.
The rooms, although not big, were adequate for our needs. The bed was large and comfortable and our room had a view of the river Loire. The bathroom was well equipped with a large walk in shower that was superb. The internet and wifi was both fast and reliable.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, helping us with information on the city and called taxis for us. Nothing was too much trouble. For a nice city break, we would recommend this hotel to anyone.

If it weren’t for Joan of Arc, Orléans may not have become the beautiful city it is today. The teenage heroine of France liberated the city during the Hundred Years War, a fact commemorated with a May festival and a statue of her on horseback in a large square (well, hexagon).
From Joan’s former house nearby, a road leads to Sainte-Croix Cathedral. Arriving from this direction, the cathedral appears somewhat overshadowed by terraced buildings, until you step out into its square and realise what an incredible structure it is.
To the north is the fine art museum and in the opposite direction are the shops, restaurants and bars of Rue de Bourgogne. Place du Châtelet houses more shops, overlooked by narrow half-timbered buildings. Just south, historic Georges V Bridge crosses the fast-flowing Loire River, connecting the historic centre with modern suburbs.
South of the river are the Parc des Expos and Zenith d’Orléans event centres, while further away is the Parc Floral de la Source – gardens centred on the source of the Loiret River. Even further south is the tranquil Sologne forest, while to the west the Loire passes many wonderful castles.
As well as Loire Valley accommodation, Booking.com offers luxury Orléans hotels, cheap B&Bs and apartments near the train station.

We were only in Orleans for one night after flying transatlantic into Paris. So we did not see much. We formed a positive impression though...the statue of Joan of Arc, the Cathedral, the shops and quaint, easily walkable historic district.

Orléans is a surprising small city, packed with history and home to Jeanne d’Arc. Beautiful city centre, very beautifully planned and executed urban redevelopment putting on focus historical features and yes the cathedral is just stunning. We stayed only a short overnight and were lucky to witness the late night light show pinned to the facade of the cathedral: just stunning. Beautiful pedestrian areas with medieval timber framed houses as well as glamorous arcades and squares. Will go back again!

From the U. S. and first time visiting France.
From the U. S. and first time visiting France. We were in Orleans for just one night. This hotel is in a great location to walk to the sights and pedestrian areas. The front desk staff were proactively helpful providing a map of the area and what is available.
The parking was in a courtyard and very safe. As extra bonus for this hotel, we asked for a bucket of ice and actually got a wine bucket with ice. I say this because at a hotel stay with different chain a couple nights prior we got a cereal bowl of ice.
Room was pristine and had AC. Temps have been about 80 and nights were not very cool to sleep at prior lodgings we were staying at.
Should we visit Orleans again we will stay at this hotel.
Nothing about the hotel we were supposed to be in. The hotel moved us to another of their hotels because of a 'water leak' at very short notice. The alternative venue was apparently more expensive, but they would cover the cost. On arrival we had to pay a deposit for any damage (unexpected cost). The room was clean and the bed comfy. The air conditioning didn't work. We didn't appreciate the noisy car and motorbike racing until 2am.
At first I was thrown off by the fact that there was no check-in desk, but once I got into my room, I knew I had made the right choice. My room was impeccable. Modern and tastefully decorated (seemed to be recently renovated), immaculately clean, extremely comfortable, with all the amenities. I couldn't have asked for anything better. The location was also very close to the Orléans gare (train station), a mall, and a cathedral.
Exceeded expectations in every way as we got a perfect room with comfortable bed and many facilities - kitchenette, private parking space, cosy terrace, filled minibar, ... - for a small price. Quiet location off the street. Ideal for a stop-over on our way to the South of France as it has parking and it's located outside of the car-free city centre however very close for a visit on foot.
The staff was professional, helpful, and kind. I traveled with my dog and my room had a lovely dog bed in it, bowls, and a bag of treats. I thought that was a lovely touch. Moreover, my window faced the river and the view was classical France. Gorgeous. The hotel is right in the heart of things and it's easy to wander the cobblestoned streets and exercise along the river.
Brilliant property. It had secure parking which was useful as I was travelling through France on my motorbike. The host David was helpful with great comms and a useful video showing what's what. The apartment is well finished, comfortable with a great shower.
Would recommend and will hopefully return.
The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, helping us with luggage as well as giving my wife and I a great rundown on where to go and what to see in Orleans. Room was nice and very very comfy bed! Would definitely recommend the Hotel Saint Martin.
The hotel's location is perfect. The room very comfortable and clean. The breakfast very good. And the staff very friendly. If I come back to Orleans I would stay at this hotel
Very charming small hotel full of character right in centre of Orleans. Loved my room which was very spacious and had cute balcony. Staff were amazing and really attentive.
The hotel is perfect stop when driving long hours to the south of France
