The host couldn't have been more accommodating. Despite him not speaking english and we don't speak very good french - he was amazing and managed to translate superbly. Very hospitable.
Very close to the motorway, the town seemed very quiet.
Very close to the motorway, the town seemed very quiet. Close to the hotel was a large supermarket and a modern trading estate where we were able to get something to eat.
We stopped here just to break our journey, and would do so again another time.
Good value for money.
When I arrived there was one other guest in the whole hotel. NO staff on duty, yes that is right No staff. I had to call central office, they apologised for No staff and then said to pay using the machine and once payment is received the receipt will give a code to access a room. How very strange!!!! Not very welcoming at all. This was at 21:30. Certainly won’t use again. Room just ok. Cold initially, heater was very small but just about managed. Room was tired and needed an upgrade really.
Close by is Le Comptoir de Marius, which is a proper restaurant (with reasonable prices & a good atmosphere), much different from the usual burger-bars, pizza houses etc that one almost invariably finds in the proximity of Ibis hotels that are on the town fringes. It was recommended by the (helpful) receptionist.
We booked this last minute as a change from another hotel and we were not disappointed!! the main house is beautiful and the pool was an absolute blessing after a very very long day. the bbq dinner topped it off and the wine was outstanding. Truly fantastic
Very nice for a budget hotel, friendly staff. 24 hour automated entry if you arrive late. Comfy beds, clean room. Just stopped one night on route to Paris.
