Les MIRABELLES chambres d'hôtes is a characterful small hotel set in an historic building in the heart of Sisteron. Being in a quiet side street adjacent to the ancient cathedral and with an excellent restaurant next door and plentiful free local parking the setting was perfect. Our room was clean and comfortable, and nicely decorated. It incorporated a shower room and a balcony. Breakfast was a feast of locally sourced products. Our host was friendly and welcoming and attentive to all our needs. We are pleased to recommend Les Mirabelles to other travellers.

The breakfast was totally French and fine for us. The coffee was great.
The hosts were the nicest people we could ever have met. They made us feel so welcome and could not do enough for us. They are the kind of people you want to be friends with forever.
The whole house is incredibly clean and comfortable and charming. We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the terrace looking out onto the beautiful mountain scenery and the organic swimming pool.
The bed was extremely comfortable; the shower was fine with plenty of hot water; it was cool at night so we did not need air conditioning.

It's a charming town with narrow hilly streets. Enjoyed La Citadelle visit - the views from there are fantastic. The best restaurant we can recommend is L'Oppidum - we ended up eating there 3 times (2 lunches and dinner) during our 3-day trip. The other good restaurant was Brassero near the cathedral. There is a very good gift shop "La Taste".

We stayed overnight in Sisteron on our way to Gilette, near Nice. Unfortunately the weather was cold and grim, this spoiled it for me, however it is an attractive small town with a variety of shops and the landscape all around is magnificent.

The location is fantastic.
The location is fantastic. It's great being in town and the town is really beautiful. They could certainly use some professional staff and not rely so heavily on the young ones to greet the customers. The bar and restaurant area is dated and devoid of character. It's a shame because the location is really really great.

We booked the last room available, so we didn't have a nice view of the town or mountains. The hotel itself is old, but very charming. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. I would suggest having dinner in a restaurant outside the hotel. Other than that, it was a lovely, short stay.
Very nicely located in the center of Sisteron. Public parking spaces were available in front of the hotel. Friends who stayed in different other hotel told us, that we were very lucky with our hotel and the big nice rooms we had (large Twin Room and Suite). One room also had a beautiful view out of the window. So we can really recommend these rooms, especially the large twin-rooms in this hotel and we would definitively choose it again on a next visit in Sisteron.
We visited Sisteron for a wedding event (6 days). This apartment worked great for our needs. We loved the great location, friendly host, and information provided when we arrived. We appreciated the coffee and snack items. Sisteron has very good restaurants that are close-by. A Spar market is very close. We also visited the market on Saturday, which had very good cheeses and fruit. There is a very good tourism office.
Breakfast was excellent, Madame was very helpful and a fun lady to chat to and she has a beautiful home. A very traditional French Chateau decorated with beautiful antiques but with modern bathrooms. It has the most stunning view of Sisteron and the Citadel on top of the cliff. Perfectly located and very easy to pop into town ( beautiful place to visit) for restaurants and sightseeing.
Like the basin in the room separate to the bathroom, you won't get your socks wet when you clean your teeth after having had a shower :)
Check in was automated machine, very simple to use, great for 2am check in.
Hotel was literally just off the motorway, easy to find.
Bed was clean and comfortable.
Ample car parking spaces.
The hotel is located in a pedestrian street off the main road and is therefore pretty quiet. The room was charming and very personalised, not the bland décor of a big chain hotel. The bed was large and comfortable. The toilet is separate from the bathroom. There was closed parking available (a short walk away).
Altogether it was great! An authentic place to enjoy the Provence. The Hotel personnel was extremely friendly, the food was excellent in the restaurant for dinner and the breakfast as well. There is free parking on the street and it's right next to the city centre. Wish we could have stayed longer.
this is such a cozy hidden small gem really. the hostes was there onsite immediately and super nice. for a passer by you get a great local feel for small town france. can highly recommend.
It was conveniently located, fresh, new and clean. It made a great stop mid trip to relax, do the laundry and explore lovely Sisteron. I highly recommend a stay in Sebastien’s apartment!
The location is good, close to both citadel and town centre. All the staff are very friendly. We got some useful recommendations, f.e. L’Oppidum restaurant next door from the hotel
