Warm welcome from the Hotel owner, Thierry and Audrey who is his assistant manager. The property has had a detailed renovation and has kept the charm and the history of the property. The attention to detail was so refreshing to us, as we travel a lot and stay in some lovely hotels, everything about this hotel lived up to our expectations. It’s homely and relaxing and the food and service is absolutely excellent. The bonus as well it’s dog friendly, we travel with our sausage dog and he loved his stay too! Thierry has a dog called Omega who is very friendly and sweet.

Les Roches Bleues, hotel in Uzerche

Les Roches Bleues, a property with a garden, is set in Uzerche, 37 km from Brive Exhibition Centre, 37 km from Brive Media Centre, as well as 37 km from Brive Commercial Court.

Unfortunately we asked for a room with 2 single beds that appeared as a symbol when booking. They wrote back only after taking the money that they didn’t have one but could offer a family room, with extra bed for an extra €40. Nobody answered the phone all day or messages. When we arrived the family room was one floor up and had to come down a flight of stairs into the public hallways and into another bedroom to use the bathroom. And pay for the privilege. They have refused to return the money. These are not good people, do not stay at this hotel.

Beautiful medieval town with lots of history. Quaint little bars and some nice places to eat. Best explored on foot at a slow pace. Pretty countryside and some nice walks. Not the place for you if you're looking for high tech or organised entertainment. Great for peace and quiet and slow pace.

A funky little town with some unusual and very old architecture, and nice little bars, especially the one under the old railway bridge by the river. some great walks in the surrounding countryside. A perfect stopover.

Virtually every street away from the central road is a 1 in 2 climb (or feels like it) nice views of river as well as pleasant backdrops to it. Number of buildings in Castle like style there is probably enough to see in just the one day or overnight there. Although my travel was in mid Febraury when almost everywhere was closed (Tuesdays and Wednesdays all day on signs) only 1 what you would call hotel was open not many eating places open at night either. After 6pm place like ghost town, which isn't uncommon for France but felt safe to park car or walk down unlit dark walkways although if you have car with electronic parking brake/autohold the inclines of roads make it tricky to reverse in to lots of the road parking bays going uphill. Surrounding countryside was pleasant to drive through but didn't look like somewhare to explore on foot direct from the town. Handy for stop over from A20.

Very interesting picturesque old town built around a Middles Ages walled township. Walls and stone gateways are mostly gone but lots of ancient houses, commercial enterprises and churches still remain intact, really worth a visit. Then there is the river running through the main town, with great walks and bikeways. Good restaurants, cafes and shops.

Okay to use as a base, not far from motorway.

Okay to use as a base, not far from motorway. Lovely town with history and some good walks. One day is enough to see and fo everything in Uzerche itself but great places to visit nearby after a drive. Following the lockdown restaurants hadnt opened which was a shame so food in the town was difficult.

Beautiful, interesting medieval town with lots to see and do! Wonderful restaurants, bars and cafes. Lots of history and spectacular views. The whole ambience of the town is a must to experience. We parked the car at our self catering and explored on foot, easy access to all amenities.

The Studio appartment was in a lovely traditional old, charming, well maintained building. The views from the room itself were interesting, and Uzerche is a worthwhile town to visit in its own tight, rather than just as a stopover, being old 7 kms from the motorway. Parking was easy, and the property not difficult to find. Our host was exceptionally pleasant and friendly; the studio was very well heated for the time of year, and Uzerche’s Christmas decorations were tasteful and a bonus for us to see.

The property is STUNNING and Thierry is amazing. He is very kind, he made us feel so welcome, the hotel restaurant was closed while we were there so he pre-booked us at another restaurant in town. I am so happy we decided to stay here instead of in Limoges because the town was so stunning. Also, Thierry has a dog Omega who is the cutest and makes you feel right at home. It has all of the best vibes of a classic french Chateau with modern amenities. I look forward to staying here again.

Lovely balcony off the bedroom, really well equipped, nice and clean. We stayed one night on our way further south - four adults - which was absolutely fine. We didn't explore Uzerche but drove through on our way out and it was really lovely. Would recommend as we did (one night for 4 adults) or longer if only two of you. Friendly host

Very good value: much more space than a hotel room. Also fridge, cooker etc although we ate out. Wood burning stove and armchairs. Uzerche is a pleasant town to walk around. Good restaurant in same street.

Location was amazing and so was the view. Expected it to be a series of rooms in someone's house but it was actually just one studio. Super cosy, will be staying again when next in Uzerche.
