Lovely little hotel in quiet Grandtully. We enjoyed the food and stay at this small inn, and walked one afternoon along the river bank to the next town as well as visited (the outside at least - as it was closed until 2 PM) the nearby Menzies Castle.
Set on the edge of Tay Forest Park, these modern apartments have under-floor heating throughout. excellent onsite facilities include golf course, bar & brasserie and deli & gift shop.

Aberfeldy is on the River Tay and set in beautiful countryside. There are outdoor things to do- farm trips, walks by the river or The Birds of Aberfeldy. In March the roads around are quiet and the views and countryside is so wonderful . For me The Watermill is one of the best individual bookshops anywhere and it has its own wonderful coffee shop. I want to go back .

Very pleasant area of Perthshire - plenty activities, walking, cycling and watersports etc. Not far from Kenmore, Killin, Dunkeld which are all worth a visit. Dochart Falls worth a stop on the way to Killin.
Not a huge amount in Aberfeldy itself, but a good centre. For an evening meal we would recommend the Inn on the Tay at Grandtully which is only 10-15 minutes away - the food and service was excellent, and there's outdoor seating for sunny days, pretty much on the banks of the Tay.

We visit Aberfeldy every year and find it an excellent location to base ourselves and can travel around the area. It has a lovely town centre with a variety of shops and good selection of eating places. It is easy to walk to places and the highlight for those keen on walking is the Birks of Aberfeldy with stunning views.
The Watermill in the centre of the town is a beautiful building and now a book store with cafe and well worth a visit.
There is a cinema too in town with a cafe.

Karelia House is a craft store selling fabric and wool with a small cafe and based between Kenmore and Aberfeldy and worth a trip if you like sewing/knitting.

Near Aberfeldy is Grandtully with great views of the river. There is the highland chocolatier shop here too which has a lovely gift shop, a cafe and of course a selection of delicious chocolates.
The Townhouse in Aberfeldy is a great place to stay and eat. Also visited the Waterfront restaurant in Kenmore which was excellent.

Aberfeldy is a nice, small town.
Aberfeldy is a nice, small town. There are plenty of places to eat (good meals for our taste) and there was plenty of choice including an Iranian/Mediterranean cuisine restaurant and a good Italian one.
There is also a wonderful Bookshop (The Watermill) with a very nice cafe attached.
There is a great variety of attractions to visit in the area - wonderful scenery and woodlands for instance. Also a swimming in the local Community Hub/school.
One particularly good (and famous) local attraction is The Birks of Aberfeldy. There are also so many places of interest to visit, a little further afield. People here appear friendly and helpful. One particular mention to be made, is of schoolchildren who offered to help immediately, after I (Janet) had fallen in the town.

Aberfeldy is a small city and is easily walkable.
Aberfeldy is a small city and is easily walkable. We got our lunch to go from the local co-op and sat on a bench next to the river to eat. It's springtime and daffodils are in bloom everywhere. There is an excellent bakery and a good Indian restaurant (Chillies) in town.

We had to get a change of room because there was only which was so high I could not get into it. There advert says you get £20 voucher which I thought was for dinner but it was for breakfast and we don't eat breakfast. You had to pay£25 each for dinner regardless of what you eat and I would only have a starter so I wasn't paying that we had to walk to Aberfeldy for something to eat. I asked about using the swimming pool but could not get times only time was 11am on Saturday morning and we were leaving at 10am. The receptionists were very little help. The advert says each room bets a bottle of wine but there was no wine in our room.I certainly would not recommend it to anyone and I will be wary of booking anything through Booking.com again.
Location was perfect. Beautiful village with plenty to do and easy to drive to lots of wonderful places nearby. The cottage was lovely. Lots of amenities and very comfortable. Walking distance to local shops and some beautiful walks. Check in was easy (we collected keys from the hotel literally across the road). The man was very helpful, pleasant and friendly. All in all we were very happy with our stay.
Large ground floor garden room with own sitting room large bathroom. Quiet and comfortable in attractive area. Walks nearby but too steep for us. We were tired and weather wasn't kind so that probably affected our view. Highlight was tour of Dewar's Aberfeldy distillery on far edge of town but really you need to drive from Weem which means watching what you drink!
Absolutely lovely spot. It had everything I needed and was close to everything but tucked back so it was quiet. The outdoor seating area by the burn was a special treat in the mornings. The flat was modern and comfortable and impeccably clean. A little tricky to find at first as it is around the far side of the building, but the friendly locals helped me out.
The cottage was in a great location to explore Aberfeldy and the surrounding area. There are lots of shops a restaurants within walking distance.
The cottage was very clean and looked exactly like the photos. The host left us a lovely welcome package of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and biscuits which was much appreciated after our day of traveling.
We had a great stay at Schiehallion Hotel. All members of staff were friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. The room was superb. Restaurant had good quality food with great vegan options for dinner and breakfast. Aberfeldy is a lovely place with lots of local walks and very centrally located for visiting a wide area of Scotland.
The host Patty was very welcoming and very informative. The breakfast was lovely and very tasty. Our room was bright and clean and the bed was very comfy. Brae House is good base for exploring Aberfeldy and the surrounding areas. If you are a keen hillwaker, there's enough nearby to keep you going for a few days.
This wee little pod has it all! It is very cosy, warm (underfloor heating!). Good bed, good shower, surprisingly complete kitchen. The hot tub is an amazing treat after a day of exploring the hills around Aberfeldy.
The views are superb, and waking up to the sounds of sheep and lambs is fantastic.
We had a fabulous holiday at the lodge, everything was great.
The area is wonderful, very refreshing to be in the middle of nature. Plenty of snow and fun for the kids, the pool table is an excellent idea.
Robert was very helpful, professional and responsive.
Thank you for everything.
Lovely, homely, little holiday cottage. Nice spacious kitchen/dining area. Great walking access to Grandtully along the River Tay (and Aberfeldy if you fancy a longer stroll) and only a two minute drive from local amentities and restaurants. The hosts were super helpful and friendly.
Comfortable, clean and warm hotel. Friendly welcoming owner. Delicious breakfast. The hotel is situated in the lovely town of Aberfeldy, within walking distance to shops, cafes, restaurants and walks along the river up to the Birks of Aberfeldy.

We enjoyed everything about our stay at The TownHouse Hotel, would love to have stayed longer. Everything was perfect and the staff were exceptional, especially at breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble!
Spacious and well equipped property. Each bedroom is like a giant private hotel suite with its own sitting area and large bathroom. Beautifully maintained grounds, perfect for spotting wildlife.
