Lovely comfortable bed that didn’t move around all over the place like many hotel beds seem to do. There was even a pillow menu so there’s no way you wouldn’t be comfy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Chairs and desks were available, bathroom was large and fully stocked with toiletries, plenty of hot water. Room service was exceptional, especially the chicken wings. Large TV which was lovely. Extremely good location for the airport. Extremely quiet and soundproof, we couldn’t hear a peep from other rooms. Cute chocolates on arrival. Plenty of places to charge mobile phones etc. Mini fridge and kettle with hot drinks provided including galaxy hot chocolates which were lovely.
Spa use is included from check in to check out for guests enjoying a bed and breakfast, or dinner bed and breakfast package. Spa use is not included at any time when booking a room only rate.

A charming hotel steeped in history, set in the historical town of Port Sunlight, within easy reach of Liverpool and Chester, and just 5 minutes from the M53.

Very friendly and efficient staff. Simple but very comfy room (lovely bed) with all the facilities necessary. It's a bit quirky because its an Edwardian building (120 years oldish) with lots of the original features - lots of heavy, dark wood about and stained glass in every door. There was also a lovely smell of a coal fire in the lobby (not the bedrooms). Some of the corridor carpets might have been installed on new build! :-)
The local area Port Sunlight - is great for an evening walk and architecturally very interesting.
If you need a super new, anti septic hotel its not for you but if you want somewhere with character book it now.
Set 2.8 miles from Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, Holiday Inn Ellesmere Port/Cheshire Oaks is 5 minutes’ walk to the National Waterways Museum.

The hotel is surrounded by water being by the port, the restaurant looks out onto the water. You can walk all around the outside looking at the canal boats etc. You can park right outside the hotel and offers an overflow carpark too. As a family we do lots of city breaks etc so being able to park right outside free of charge is.great. There is a little swimming pool in a separate building where you can book slots to swim, great facilities and clean. They provide the towels etc so makes the washing less when you get home. We will definitely be staying again as its close to Liverpool, chester, Cheshire oaks etc.
Woodcote House has individual, colourful rooms with great showers, and boasts a fantastic location for exploring Liverpool or Chester.

Staff greeted us with warm and friendly greetings and explanations of our stay. Upgraded us to meet our needs and helped us with additional items we needed to have. Explained restaurant and activities well and indicated who and where to find any additional information if needed
In 38 acres of peaceful grounds, just 15 minutes from Chester, this beautifully preserved Edwardian manor has a fantastic restaurant, free Wi-Fi, a log fire and charming individually decorated rooms.

Lovely hotel been twice this year
And last year
Staff brilliant and hotel beautiful xx
The rooms were very cold. It was minus six overnight and below freezing during the day and our heating went off when we were out of the room. Therefore when we got back it was freezing cold in the room and the heater was not an adequate size to heat the room. We were very dissatisfied.

Communication was terrible ....
Communication was terrible .... I had booked a room there specifically because BOOKING.com said the hotel was pet friendly.
the booking on the website confirmed the hotel was pet friendly.
i was informed on the day that the hotel did not allow pets in the executive suites ( so why was I able to bok it when i was looking for somewhere pet friendly )
the two options when i was looking to book were this place or the local travelodge for £ 48.... i chose to pay the extra to stay somewhere nice.
then ended up having to stay in the travelodge anyway and paying £150 for the privilidg

This is a unique hotel.
This is a unique hotel. It is not part of a large chain so it benefits by being unique but it also suffers from the marketing and maintenance strengths large chain hotels have to offer. We would like such an individual hotel to thrive as it has a special personal feel. It needs further investment and attention to detail on maintenance. We loved the bar, the candles on tables and the music playing. Chandeliers in entrance and mirrors were divine. Huge potential to make into a 5 star boutique hotel!

Character, staff friendliness, attention to quality of food...
Character, staff friendliness, attention to quality of food and location make this a "return to" hotel. Indeed I have. Had a sandwich supper on arrival and a bespoke breakfast. Food very good. Not the most salubrious (decor in need of a bit of attention) but free parking and a quiet ambiance make it attractive. It's not a 5* urban chain hotel (a bit quirky) but I would recommend.

The peace and quiet of the Hotel and surrounding area. We ate at a Vintage Inn about 1.5 miles away. Hotel quite expensive for food. Handy for Chester, Chester Zoo, Cheshire Oaks Birkenhead and Liverpool

Everything about Brook Hall hotel exceeds expectations. The staff are lovely and friendly, the location and gardens are beautiful, the room is well decorated and spacious, the bed was very comfy and you have control of the heating of the room. A cooked breakfast was offered at a reasonable price and free room service provided for it. The hotel is close to loads of things to do and places to see, but far enough off the main roads to be quiet and secluded. I will definitely be staying again.
Our bedroom was excellent. It was larger than most typical hotel rooms, well decorated. furnished with antique style furniture and had an extra large flat screen TV.
The en-suite bathroom was large, well furnished with a double basin vanity unit and had s spa bath. Fantastic!
There was a good and varied selection of food on the menu of the restaurant. We enjoyed an excellent 3 course a last crate meal which was the best hotel food we’ve had in a long time. Price was very reasonable.
A lovely hotel tucked away in the country. Beautiful grounds to walk through. Stayed in the Marlborough suite and the room was very cosy with an amazing double spa bath! We had the bonus of some local friends playing casual jazz in the bar, which gave a lovely relaxed and informal environment - apparently it's a regular thing on Fridays.
This hotel was wonderful. So peaceful and comfortable. A sense of old grandeur about the place.
Incredible value for money, compared with spending 3 times as much to be in a box room next to a main road.
The restaurant where very flexible and cooked for us when we where the only diners returning late from the Grand National.
