Superb room, cosy and comfortable.
Wonderful hosts. The lady hostess gave us a great introduction about the house and the room. And then she baked a cake for our afternoon tea! Homemade cake- what more to expect! She also helped us to book a taxi for the following morning as we dropped the car in Truro.
10 min easy walk to the city centre of Truro where one can find lots of places to eat. The Cathedral is worth a visit!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this quaint town and in the Townhouse.

Lovely bed and breakfast, great location and will definitely go back. Spotlessly Clean room and a plentiful breakfast basket delivered to your door. The bed was very comfortable and though next to a busy main road we didn't notice the traffic noise and it certainly didn't keep us awake.

Truro is a lovely city in Cornwall.
Truro is a lovely city in Cornwall. People are friendly and hospitable. Tons of restaurants, shops, cafe's, and there is a Town Hall that has entertainment, movie house so a short stay here would be filled with lots to do. The Cathedral is a lovely place to visit and there is lots to do from this central point.
Hire a car and head to Newquay, Falmouth or St Ives for the day.

City centre was lovely!
City centre was lovely! We enjoyed meandering through the cathedral (which was very grand, the architecture absolutely brought me to tears, managed to light a prayer candle for lent, also they have an ongoing exhibit about awareness of abuse in the church) and the cornwall museum is closeby :D they have wacky artefacts. The coffee and cornish pasties and the pastries are the bomb dot com but the other grub not so much, i mean, it's just typical british fare innit haha also truro station connects easily to penzance and the other more touristy bits. Transportationwise, quite hard, buses are a little but unreliable even with the time table. Not much uber drivers but the taxis are popping. There are taxis around the station and they have a taxi calling app and there are cards that you can get from the accommodation. Pretty old timey but charming.

Truro is an attractive small city and it’s easy to find parking and to walk around the shops and see the cathedral.
There are plenty of places to have coffee or lunch.
The bus station is right beside the shopping area, which has a large Marks and Spencer’s, which has a cafe, a large branch of Waterstones as well as a good selection of independent shops and an indoor market.

Great base for exploring Cornwall but not sure what it’s like in summer. We parked in the town with ease but we visited in November.
Masses of shops. It is the county town so is a magnet for shoppers.
Cathedral and Cornwall Museum worth a visit. Hall for Cornwall has a variety of shows.
Thoroughly enjoyed the pasty shop for lunch.
Check roadworks though. A30 was closed intoTrurofor the whole weekend whilst work is going on building the new by pass. It took us ages to follow the detour.

I did want to explore the town a bit more, especially the cathedral, but this visit was to see a show and I had to return the next day.
I had a meal at an Italian restaurant literally up the road from the hotel, it was decent enough.

Truro is a lovely place to visit.
Truro is a lovely place to visit. Old and new buildings to see and plenty of places to go. Resturants of many different cuisines and a nice open area to sit and chill with a coffee. There is a beach, about 7 miles away, (Perranporth) which is lovely and has the traiditional fish and chips, kiss me quick hats etc and you're not too far away from the north side so Newquay etc is all available within 45 to 60 minutes in the car.
Supermarkets are a plenty in and around Truro too. The catherdral is a must to visit. A beautiful building and well worth some time spent.
exceptionally well stocked, clean, beautifully decorated and designed, supremely comfortable sofas and bed, great kitchen. it’s in a lovingly restored old house and gives off proper countryside vibes. it’s quite secluded, and nothing is really close - which doesn’t matter because that also means it’s located well and nothing is really far away. it’s an amazing location for a „base camp“ if you want to explore Cornwall. I simply cannot recommend this enough, it is probably one of if not the best stay we’ve ever had.
Great location. Lovely hideaway Lodge on the outskirts of Truro. Dog friendly property and area.
Makes a fantastic base for exploring Cornwall. Beaches within short distance in the car.
A very quiet and peaceful location - perfect to unwind and relax. We slept so well due being no noise from outside.
The lodge was cosy and we enjoyed making use of the outside patio and furniture on the sunny days. A traditional cream tea on arrival was a welcome touch from the owners Janet and Luc.
I had travelled to Truro to visit a friend who was in the local hospital. I cannot recommend the hotel enough. The location is just a 3 minute walk from the cathedral, the hotel has a secure gated car park, and the staff are universally superb. I ate in the hotel restaurant and the service, quality and selection of food were first-class and reasonably priced. The continental breakfast was one of the best I've ever had in a hotel. I will stay here again if I visit Truro again.
Lovely hotel. Beautiful old building with high ceilings, lots of character features and lovely decor. We were given a very warm friendly greeting on check in, and the staff were great throughout our stay. The room was comfortable and quiet, and well thought out. Bed was comfortable. Really liked the lounge and bar area, great for relaxing and enjoying a drink. Location is great, just a 10 mins walk into the centre of Truro. Good value. Would definitely stay again.
A great location with amazing, huge rooms which were extremely comfortable. The Townhouse has a pretty garden that you can sit out and relax whenever you want to. We had a continental breakfast delivered to our room each morning which you could eat either in your room or in the garden. We also had room service each day of our stay! I cannot recommend this hotel enough! I cannot wait to go back!
The house is amazing & situated in the heart of the Cornwall. Easy access to all the attraction points to east, west, north & south. The house made us feel so comfy & homely that my family want to go back again. The kitchen is fully equipped & huge. Toilets were new. Beds were comfy . Already missing it .It’s just 5 mins from Truro town centre.Loved Cornwall, Loved Specious House
This place was an old, old, revamped manor. Whoever made the remodeling decisions , really had great taste. It was magazine worthy in paint colors, linens, bathroom fixtures and in every other way. I was so appreciative of those elements.. They are about 5 miles out of Truro, but with GPS, you can find them on the country lanes.
The guest house itself is charming and very comfortable! The view of Truro from my room was fantastic, and it was nice having a good breakfast provided in the mornings. I felt I had easy walking access to the city and the train station. The owners were considerate and welcoming as well! I had a great experience overall!
Beautiful lodge in a gorgeous setting. Host Vanda was so friendly and welcoming to us and our little dog! The lodge was spotlessly clean and bed was super comfy! We had the most wonderful relaxing break and can't wait to come back again. Perfect location for exploring the best of cornwall's north & south coasts!
This was an ideal location for us to use as a base to explore the Cornwall area. It was also just a 15 minute walk into the city centre and close to shopping if needed. The size was perfect for a couple and very clean, comfortable, private and quiet. The owner was available to give assistance if needed.
I loved the Queen related decor of the apartment (as a big Queen fan) but also the apartment was in a great central location in Truro and allowed us to fully explore Cornwall. The apartment was clean and well laid out for a family of our size. Did I mention the Queen connections ??
Great location to see other parts of Cornwall.
Ben and Katherine were polite and great hosts.
Ben's culinary was excellent for breakfast. A must-have pancakes!!
Lovely accommodation with all the facilities of a 5 star hotel.
Well recommended.
The Zucchini was so friendly, welcoming and comfortable it felt like home. The owners were fantastic fun and made us feel like family friends. Plus they make the best Pizzas outside of Italy.
Good location. Easy walk to train station. Truro was our base town for exploring Cornwall. Grocery store right across the street. County Arms pub just down the road offered good meals.
Everything you need for a week away, clean tidy and modern, quiet location, central for a trip to cornwall, lovely welcome food parcel enjoyable after a day of travel
