Great place we went out of season but there was still enough bars and tavernas open, but many more to open and they looked good also. We also had two dogs with us and we and them were welcome everywhere. Could not fault the friendly people and the hospitality we had at our hotel and bars and tavernas was first rate. We will definitely be going back.

Lovely fishermen’s town with great tavernas and bars/cafes. Chilled and relaxing atmosphere. Very nice beach, again with good tavernas serving delicious Greek and international food. Walking distance between town, beach and hotels. Hidden gem for me.

It is in strategic position, central to reach beautyful beaches on the east and on the west of the village within 30 min-1 hour by car. It is also a small pictoresque and typical greekvillage with a small harbour, full of shop, markets, restaurants and services, but very quiet as well

After coming from Paleochora, I’m afraid Agia Galini was a huge disappointment. It looks tired and run down and the beach is less than spectacular. The view of the water from any restaurant is marred by the rather grotesque breakwater. I would advise folks to stay in Spili. A much prettier town.

Ag. Galini is a beautiful small city, located on the hill.
Ag. Galini is a beautiful small city, located on the hill. Although is a touristic place its quite and peaceful. Everything is near and you don't need the car to move around. The beach is beautiful and the local shops have a great variety. The local cuisine is delicious and the people very friendly.
the location is very good, within walking distance to the local beach and restaurants, The hotel has such a lovely feel to it! really lovely design and details in the room and around the hotel. we stayed in the room with the balcony over looking the sea. the view is so beautiful and lovely to wake up to! brilliant breakfast, yoghurt, meats, cheeses, granola, fruit, cake, orange juice fresh coffee! wonderful staff! so friendly and welcoming! a truly wonderful breakaway! really recommend it!
Our stay in of the amazing and outstanding Stella’s
Apartments made our whole vacation perfect. You can
see that everything has been beautifully thought in
every detail and it really switches you to the ‘holiday
mindset’. Stella is very kind and such a beautiful
person, as all the staff that surrounds her. You have
both the privacy and the facilities of an apartment
and the cleaning services of a hotel. Love the concept
and hope to spend my future holidays there!
We stayed here for 3 nights and really had a wonderful time. The building and all the rooms are completely renovated in a modern, super-stylish way. The room was cleaned every day, cleanliness really was exceptional. The owner is a young, super friendly guy who gave us great advice on where to find authentic Greek restaurants and lonely beaches to watch the sunset. We can therefore absolutely recommend this place.
Hotel has up to dozen rooms so it really provides very quite environment. It is part of three hotels built at the slope of the hill well shielded from external noise, with lot of plants in between providing nice atmosphere.
Rooms were recently renovated and cleaned on daily basis, all equipped with AC and having decent water pressure in bathroom.
We've opted out of breakfast so cannot comment on that.
Our overall visit at the hotel was amazing. The Staff are lovely, the breakfast (which was included in our booking) was great with lots of variety, and the view is spectacular. I could just sit and drink my coffee on the terrace for hours! Our room was clean and accommodated our family of 4 very comfortably. We would go back in a heartbeat!
Sea views were breathtaking, and there was peace and quiet throughout our stay. The bathroom was more spacious than 90% of other Greek apartments, and especially the shower was really great. If it’s too windy at the beach for a swim, the pool is perfect. The terrace wrapped around our unit and we gazed at a full sky of stars every night.
The Hotel ist perfectly located in Agia Galini and the view from the roof terrace was the best. The Studio Apartment was just perfect for 2. All staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Dimos was always there to help giving good advise. Very hospitable place and we will definitly come back, when we are in Crete again.
The host, Christos and his family are so friendly, very welcoming and supportive. The location is perfect, in the heart of Agia Galini with lots of bars, restaurants, parking and the beach nearby. The apartment especially the kitchen is well equipped, good Wi-Fi and very nice (authentic but also modern) decoration.
The room is very comfortable and very nice with a view of the sea. Christina and her husband are very cute hosts. They help you with anything and give the best recommendations about beaches and other places to visit outside the conventionally ones. I totally recommend staying at Avra.
nice hotel, very near from the busstation and quite close to the beach and the old town. Shops, nice fish restaurants and an authentic Greek cafes are nearby too. Relaxing and beautiful view on mountains and on the sea. Host offered us a bottle of wine at the arrival!
The breakfast was good - lots of variety. The pool was beautiful. The view from the room and the balcony was beautiful. Location was great - just a very short distance from the beach. The staff was awesome. The rom was very clean.
The hospitality of the owner is exceptional. This is a very nice little hotel nicely decorated and the room is spacious.
