Modern, efficient local and island-wide buses. English spoken everywhere, and everyone was welcoming and friendly. Highlight - Apothiki for mezzes and fabulous local folk music at the weekend.

One can catch ferries to Italy, Kefalonia etc. Scenery is great if it's not raining.
Dining out I would recommend The Tratamento, Filellinon 3,7 Corfu Old Town +30 26610 33267. It is about equidistant between Venetian Well and the Orthodox Cathedral

Beautiful harbour areas between the two fortresses and along the coastal promenade area to the windmill. Lovely squares, parks and attractive Italian-style architecture in the quaint and bustling streets of the old town. A vibrant and interesting town with numerous restaurants, bars and traditional, touristy and modern shops. Great place to explore in is own right and as a centre to tour the island, with good bus services.

Corfu town also has Starbucks and really good restaurants which is not too expensive compared to some of them. I recommend Pan e souvlaki restaurant which is a few minutes walk from the Corfu old town market. You can also find lots of nice dessert places in Corfu town too.

This is a picturesque Venetian town, reminiscent of Dalmatian or Italian coastal towns. There is a great, buzzing atmosphere, with lots of traditional shops, restaurants and cultural places to explore. With all the profits from tourism, I wish the Corfiot council would invest more money into the upkeep of the facades and infrastructure of the island. Also, there is a lot of litter around which could be easily managed if there were signs displayed and more bins provided. so different than an apartment!
What an amazing experience! Thank you to Donia and her son George who were outstanding.
We wanted 2 nights in old Corfu town before heading to Paxi, this was by far the best experience rather than an apartment.
Based at the old Fortress within the sailing club. Felt safe, the boat is clean, homely and a home from home, just amazing! Loved listening to the music school in the morning, just the most fantastic experience, thank you Donia!
I’ll definitely be back to have a skipper to take us out on Cleopatra!
Everything! We were lucky to book at Mayor Mon Repos. The location was excellent (few meters away from Kerkyra town), along with a wonderful view in front of the hotel including the sea (at 180 degree from the balcony) and the greenery of the hills. In addition, the hotel was above expectation in terms of luxury, comfort, staff and breakfast. worth mentioning that latter was royal and succulent, and the staff were very friendly and respectful.
The location of this apartment is wonderful and it was more spacious than we thought it might be. Relaxed feel with lovely cafes, tavernas, town centre and swimming spots in very close proximity. We were able to pop out for evening and morning swims!
The best thing about this property is the hosts. Really helpful and accommodating and they arranged for us to have a late check out which allowed us to do so much more in Corfu Town.
After 12 days at Solari Hill I can say that it is the best accommodation so far. The host is welcoming and very kind. The villa is very spacious, contains 3 levels, is very clean and contains all the utilities and accessories you need. It is located in a quiet area, close to Corfu Town and the port. The quality-price ratio is correct, I warmly recommend you to choose this accommodation if you go to Corfu
Host Elsa was amazing and couldn't be more helpful. The apartment was perfect - super comfy beds & great living space even had Netflix and coffee machine. Location also amazing, just a few steps away from one of the main streets in the old town meant it was nice and quiet with easy access to all the best streets. Will definitely be back to stay again we absolutely loved our stay here!
This hotel is amazing! It is located around 15 minutes walking (!) from the airport and about 17 minutes walk from the old town.
The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The person at the reception was particularly welcoming, smiling, and helpful.
What we liked the most was the breakfast.
We would 100% recommend this hotel to ANYONE going to Corfu town.
Beautifully decorated, comfortable bed, very hot shower. Everything in the apartment looked new. There is even a Nespresso machine and milk frother! Perfect for us coffee addicts. This really is a gem in one of the best locations in Corfu Town. Spiros was very reactive when we needed something. We will definitely go back if we need to in the future.
An unbelievable view. The best part of the trip was having a couple glasses of Rosé and watching the world go by below. The amenities were brilliant, the furnishings were modern and well appointed. We had a brilliant time and would recommend this apartment and Corfu town to anyone. One of our new favourite places. Thanks for a brilliant stay.
Great spot, right in the old town but down a quiet little passageway. Our host met us to explain all the details of the apartment and also offered some nice recommendations for the town and island. We loved Corfu town! Great place to stay and explore if you're looking for some culture in-between beaches.
absolutely excellent. Perfect small apartment in a perfect location, a bit far from the noise of the center but still very close to it (20/30 min walk and 5 min by car). Very clean and comfortable and Aris, the owner, is super helpful and nice. We absolutely recommend it for your stay in Corfu town!
I wanted a small, boutique hotel close enough to Corfu Town without actually being in the town, and this was a lovely property, perfect for a peaceful, quality stay. Best of all, the staff are EXCEPTIONAL, they made my stay here so much more special. Thank you!
The view is fantastic and it's right in the city center, so it'a the best location for getting around easily. The hotel is kind of old, but very clean. Breakfast was pretty good and the room was nice and spacious enough. We had a good stay here for 2 nights.
Brilliantly located.
It’s not 5 star really though it’s not 5 star prices. You get what you pay for. Excellent location. Grand traditional hotel. Of its time but I liked it. Staff polite and helpful. Pool and surround lovely and amazing views.
George was the best host of our 3 weeks in Greece! Sweet little guesthouse in prime location with comfy beds and fantastic breakfast! Excellent communication and great suggestions for hiking, beaches and restaurants across the whole island!
This apartment was in a great location, right in the heart of Corfu town. Alkistis was a lovely host she gave us a list of the best Greek restaurants and shared her knowledge of the old town. we would definitely stay here again.
