As OAP's we would have liked a grab rail as support in the shower cubicle and also a shelf or similar for toiletries. Afraid of slipping on wet surfaces is an issue for OAP's. We liked the room we had but was disapointed we could not get a drink when we returned to the hotel at 12 30. even though there were people in the bar. But if you like historic charm, visit Tully’s. Paul the owner and his staff were friendly, helpful and would take time to chat, help with questions about trying to find family history. Staff are all superb - friendly, welcoming, professional. Food was amazing - we had breakfast and dinner every day because it was so good. Room was very comfortable with everything you need for a short stay. Bar was great fun - lots of local people there who always said hello. We would highly recommend this hotel and hope to return.

The location worked out really well, it's right by many walks and the train station is just around the corner. We ended up eating in the hotel every evening and it was fantastic. The room we had was lovely, very large and recently invested in so very comfortable! The staff were amazing, always so helpful - both in the bar and the breakfast staff. Far exceeded expectations!

The owner recommended a walk to me nearby, and it was quite possibly one of the best short walks I’ve ever done with so much to see and ever changing scenery, only took just over an hour in total!
