Dalkey is a charming little town right on the train route.
Dalkey is a charming little town right on the train route. The Coliemore rooms are super accessible right behind the lovely pub. Be sure to visit the Sorrento Park and Dalkey Island using the local ferry. Also the Dalkey Hill provides great views of the area and Dublin. Be sure to note that the train does take 25 minutes or so to get into Dublin, so you need to plan for that if you're going into the city.

Beautiful and quaint historic town with a superb heritage centre ideal for a family visit. Highly entertaining tour with actors in costume and lots of interaction. Surrounding areas picturesque. Great cafes and independent shops on the high street. Really convenient for popping into Dublin on the Dart. Easy to access from the motorway too.

Not easy to drive around Dalkey..
Not easy to drive around Dalkey..Must have been a nice area long ago before traffic and construction clogged it up..The facade of the village buildings is nice and well maintained.
Malahide and Howth would be a far better option for a city break.

What a lovely little place.
What a lovely little place. The main street (Castle Street) is an absolute joy, boutique little restaurants and cafes alongside niche shops. I was there on business but will absolutely be coming back as a tourist.

I have visited Dalkey on 3 occasions and each time have found the people friendly and welcoming. You are spoilt for choice in terms of eateries, from small independent cafe's, pubs, wine bar and restaurants. On weekends live music can be found in the pubs and wine bar.
PERFECT location! Easy, secure and convenient access to accommodation. Everything provided, comfortable and clean. Very helpful and friendly Hosts (Jimmy and Pat 🥰) held our bags at The Pub (after enjoying a delicious breakfast) until check-in time). Wished we could have stayed more days but they were booked up even six months ahead. Very happy with the provided rubber shower mat!! That was a bonus almost no other hotel included. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Accommodation!!!
The staff at check in were polite and professional. WE really enjoyed our room. It was roomy and clean and decorated very well. Wish we had more time in the area. The Dungeon Bar was a fun atmosphere and the personal service we received from both the bartender and the other gentleman that helped us with their new menu items and wine pairings and the rules for the Rugby match we watched made for a special last night in Ireland.
The location was perfect! We used the DART to travel Ireland’s east coast, the station 🚉 is a 3 minute walk. The restaurant next door is very good! You are basically in the town making it easy to visit the restaurants and shops. Walking to the harbour and Vico bathing area are also easy to get to.
There is no meal plan at the Coliemore Accommodation. Room only but spotless too. Right in Dalkey village but lots of places for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cannot recommend enough how impressed I was with the accomodation, very very clean indeed. Would recommend to everyone.
Very comfortable hotel in fashionable suburbs of Dublin, close to all amenities. We loved the breakfast, and private use of the swimming poo over the Christmas period. The room extremely comfortable. We had Christmas lunch at the hotel, which exceeded our expectations.
The room was very clean and comfortable and the greeting was friendly. It was very centrally located in beautiful Dalkey. Water and tea and coffee was provided. Parking was available outside the house. Overall ideal for what we needed and would stay again.
We were not having breakfast there, but the location is fantastic for visiting Dalkey. Staff was lovely and happy to help with any requests. There's 2 private parking spaces and we managed to secure one, so a completely stress-free experience!
Location near the park was very good and allowed for nice walks around Dalkey. Breakfast was nice with plenty of choice.Staff were friendly and helpful. Reasonably close to the Dart, but sill about a kilometre walk up hill from the station.
Felt like a good quality hotel room with large ensuite facilities. Generally, good wifi and modern look. Very good location just around the corner from the high street. Dalkey is a lovely village area and full of life and atmosphere.
the castle hotel has lovely grounds and create a good feeling when you arrive . there are some nice walks from here too.the hotel style is antique ish which we liked and it is very spacious.also a good piano player in the bar
very spacious, walk distance from Dart station. very central and close to Dalkey amenities.
A kettle with coffee, tea and water available in the room. The breakfast at the pub (not includes) was really good.
Hotel from the outside is very good. Inside, the rooms are not great value - 169 euros for an ageing room, poor wifi, no air-conditioning, and poor view. Wouldnt stay here again.......
The hotel grounds are lovely and the coffee and pastries from the cafe outside were wonderful. Several dining locations on site but we only got coffee. The pool looked very nice.
Ideally located in centre of Dalkey. Newly renovated house. Bed was super comfy. Rooms were spotlessly clean. A short walk to the forty foot for a swim.
