I like mostly the food and the prices of some restaurants, but sometimes the service charge is too much. I found it very easy to use the public transport in catantia and to go to other places like Taormina, Castelmola, centro sicilia and Sicilia outlet etc, etc.

Travellers tend to pass Catania town by. Many sights are within easy walking distance. It has ancient amphitheatres which we loved and fabulous churches along Via Crociferi. For a pleasant interlude a Hop on Hop off bus can take you up the coast to see the environs and the Cyclops rocks.

Catania is a nice city . The market, the food, the Monasterio Benedictino. We wanted to go to the beach so we asked how were the beaches near the hotel and got recomendations for the public beach you can acced with the local bus. It was not a god experience, very dirty, ruined, and bus took ages to arrive

Catania history center was quite shocking.
Catania history center was quite shocking. Dirty, garbage on the streets, nobody cleans after the dogs, abandoned buildings, impressive old palaces uncured, decaying, facades ruined...
However, the easygoing way gets under your skin in just a day or two. Lot of small eateries and bars where you can enjoy your food, coffee or drink and kind citizens, always ready to answer any question a tourist could have, beat the flaws.
Palaces and city structure with long wide streets show the splendour this city had in the past. Pitty it doesn't apply for the present. It has so much potantial, and not only for tourism.

The city of Catania is an exceptionally dirty city, where the strong influence of past poverty is strongly felt. It's one of the uglier cities we've visited in Sicily, but it's definitely worth seeing and experiencing.
The setting of Nèroli Bio Relais is lovely, peaceful and much appreciated after a day of sightseeing in and around the entire southeast side of Sicily. It is an easy drive to Catania airport – even for our early am departure back to the US.
The staff and the chef go out of their way to make you comfortable and meet any needs you may have. The chef stayed late and on his supposed day off to prepare soup for four weary travelers that needed a little TLC (we were fortunate to be invited by another couple).
Perfect location - very short walk from the main sightseeings, but very quiet at night. They have indoor parking right next to the hotel. The breakfast was amazing - a lot of options and everything was super delicious! The lady at the front office - Paola is amazing! The most kind and helpful person we met during our Sicily trip! It was lovely meeting and chatting with her. If we ever get back to Catania we will definitely stay there again. Thank you, Paola!
We stayed here the night before an early flight out of Catania airport. They arranged transportation to the airport at 5:00am for us which was much appreciated. We dropped off our rental car at the airport the night before (since the rental agency was closed at 5:00 am) and walked back to the hotel for the night. Only a 10-15 minute walk from the airport but there's a section that doesn't have sidewalk so it might be tricky with luggage.
Everything was super exceptional. Particularly the breakfast was thoroughly prepared everyday within the room amenities, and the room was very large. The bed was the best we slept on during our trip through Sicily. Valeria was a great host too, very attentive and helpful. We would comeback. Neighborhood is next to the very center of Catania historical downtown, but at the same time very quiet and perfect to have good sleep.
Absolutely gorgeous place. Don't let the outside fool you. Italy has so many old buildings Sicily too
But the long winding steps ( a lot) no elevator was worth it.
Maria was an angel
I checked in early and she carried my heavy suitcase for me!!
Only thing I didn't like was they sent me two text stating if I lost a key or did something (can't remember) id automatically be billed 200 euros
Uh I don't think so
Spotlessly clean, gorgeous new bathroom, generous extras provided (including toothbrush and toothpaste). We stayed in the family room, which is very comfortable and has a little balcony with table and chairs. Great location two minutes from Piazza del Duomo. Alessia was incredibly helpful even before we got to Sicily, as there was a lot of uncertainty around Catania airport following the fire. Thank you!
We booked this Hotel for our last night before we left Sicily because it's near the airport. It has a beach area in walking distance, which was nice but not the best water quality. There is free parking for cars. The dinner was outside in the garden which looked really pretty (we just saw it, ate elsewhere). Breakfast was okay but nothing special and little selection in my opinion. Staff was friendly.
The hotel itself is great - nice room, helpful staff, good food in the restaurant, nice gardens and pool. The area around the hotel is not very appealing. But we chose it because we had an early flight the next day, it's very convenient for the airport. We were also able to get a bus into Catania from just outside the hotel. This was a better option for the evening than staying in the local area.
This is a small boutique hotel in the central part of Catania. Clean and modern rooms, delicious breakfast. The hotel is located on a pedestrian street and has an extremely convenient parking garage near the hotel, just outside the ZTL.
Extremely friendly staff, perfect communication before our arrival and during our stay. They gave us a city map and answered all our questions.
Very good location, close to the ALIBUS bus that comes from Catania airport, about 15-20 minutes from Piazza Duomo and Piazza Borsellino station, from where you can take buses to other destinations.
I liked the big, tall room, large bathroom, equipped with dryer.
The hotel garden is full of vegetation.
Very close by, there is a great Botanical Garden, free entrance.
A fantastic apartment at a great location in the heart of Catania ! The family is super friendly and helpful. They picked us up from Catania Centrale train station and dropped us at the Airport. Great service !
The authentic apartment is stylishly furnished with modern facilities and the fridge is full on arrival.
The highlight during our 2 week-Sicily-tour !
Hotel overall was very nice and clean with good size rooms and well sound proofed , breakfast was reasonable and a god selection, Staff were very friendly in the main and the pool is a good size but may be a problem if busy with the amount of sunbeds available. The Hotel is close to the Airport and a short 20 euro taxi ride into centre of Catania centre
We stayed here for one night prior to flying back to the States from Catania airport. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We couldn't make the breakfast due to an early morning departure and the hotel provided boxed breakfasts for us to take with us - which were amazing! The hotel is in a great location to walk to the main sights as well.
Great location. we stay twice during our tour of Sicily. the first stay we had corner with 2 balconies, gorgeous view of the cathedral.
catania had an amazing fish market and produce and it’s around the corner from the hotel.
you can’t help but buy and taste some of the seafood and fruit.
staff were great too
20 Miglia is nice, and the breakfast pretty generous. But the side of Catania it is in isn't the best, and the room, while comfortable, was pretty basic for a 'four star' hotel. We wished there'd been slippers, a kettle, but nope. Considering it didn't come cheap, we expected just a little bit more.
Kudos especially to Daphne, who helped us immensely with finding and understanding the street parking system and was friendly and hospitable throughout our stay.
The hotel is unusually attractive and unique in its presentation.
Also, the best breakfasts we had in or 2 week trip to Sicily.
We had an early flight so this was a perfect option. Good value for money, 5 minutes from the terminal, met all our expectations.
We took the Alibus to Catania city, and enjoyed dinner before going back to the airport hotel. Worked well
The hotel is really well located, just round the corner of the city centre, at the beginning of one of the Catanian markets, next to the metro station and also the bust stop for buses to the airport. The room was really spacious.
Centrally located in the city. In front of the hotel there is a bus stop and a bus stops - Alibus from the airport of Catania. Nearby via Roma with various branded boutiques.
