The main lobby has Godzilla movie posters and displays. The Godzilla head unfortunately was closed due to repairs. The breakfast is a restaurant downstairs that offers a little of every kind of breakfast, from Japanese to Western to (I think) German breakfast food. The scrambled eggs were soupy the one day I went but that could've just been one day. The room itself is small, but that's normal for Tokyo. The bathroom/shower area is actually quite big and spacious. I loved it. The staff were accommodating.
Opened in July 2014, APA Hotel Shinjuku Gyoenmae offers air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi access.

Staff were very pleasant at every interaction. Room was clean and well appointed. The baths on the bottom floor were a particularly nice way to end the day.

Great hotel on a great location(15 minutes from Shinjuku station) and a subway station around the corner. The 7-eleven in the basement was also very convenient.

APA hotel felt modern, fresh , clean and classy. As I learned with all hotels in tokyo, the room is small however it felt cosy and the layout made it comfortable. Loved that they provided daily toiletries , including razors , hair ties , cotton buds etc. staff are so polite , professional and friendly . Location is great - across the road is 2 x convenience stores and also walking distance from McDonald’s. There is a subway entrance across the road as wel (NishiShinjuku Gochome station). There is Central Park a 5 min walk away. Shinjuku is about a 20 mile minute walk or 2 min train ride . Taxi to Shinjuku was about 1000 yen ($10 AUD)

Breakfast was ok, although I've had better breakfast at a Mitsui Garden Hotel in Fukuoka. The architecture of the hotel and its location was what drew us to the hotel. Great view of Mt Fuji and the National Statium on a clear day. The hotel is in a relatively quite location, with not much around, so its a good escape from the crowds in more tourist-y places in Tokyo.

We liked the convenience of the location of the hotel and the professionalism of the staff. We also liked their Daiyokujyo to relax - and how we can see on the TV screen in the room how crowded it is.
