A touristic city. Nothing else rather than tourism here, or swimming at the sea at season I guess. The city is composed mostly of 3-5 storey buildings. There are picturesque mountains around but you cannot really walk there, at least not without riding up by taxi. Lots of construction work around, sometimes you are confused how to go because whole streets are closed. There is nice litte "old town" touristic spot, I liked it the most of all.

A lovely place to visit and the Montenegrin people are so friendly and welcoming. Spent most of our evenings walking around the Old Town within the walls. The Piano Nobile restaurant within the Old town is a must and we dined there on 3 occasions. We felt very safe and saw No anti social behaviour at all. Already planning a 2nd trip later on this year and this time we'll stay in the Old Town.

For beach people. Kotor is very different in this regard.
For beach people. Kotor is very different in this regard. I ran the coastal path from Budva to Sveti Stefan and back and recommend this to any runners. You pass many cove settlements and beaches you otherwise wouldn't know about.
Soul Food has nice sandwiches and pastries.

Very nice city.
Very nice city. I travel to Budva so often and love being there.
For the first time visitors, I recommend that they'd better choose summer season so that they can have much more fun and enjoy the environment (in and out of the city) and of course swimming.
The old city is quite unique day and night. You can have especially dinner at restaurant Jadran just by the sea. Next to this restaurant, there is a pub, named Bike and Beer. Its owner is the same of the restaurant. You may spend a night in there and enjoy the music which is performed by two grumpy looking elderly men. To me, they are perfectly play their guitars and sing.
Babaloo is a snack restaurant and bar. They have a very satisfying menu. This place is on the ground floor of TQ Plaza, the only shopping mall of the city.
Should you try your luck, you can visit the casino in the Splendid Hotel, ten minutes away from the city by taxi.
Inside of the old city walls, there shops and pubs. You can spend some time in one of them.
And more... To be honest, I'm tired of writing.
Go and see. You'll understand why I love Budva.
Do not stay only in Budva. Visit the other cities on the cost of Kotor Bay which is the only fjord in Mediterannean sea; Kotor, Tivat, Petrovac, Perast, HerzegNovi.
Please do travel up to Zabljak, a city towards to Serbian border in north. Visit Durmitor Natural Park and Tara Canyon (2nd in the world and the biggest in European) and try zip-line... On the way up to Zabljak, you may visit Ostrog Monastry that is placed on one side of a hill like it's curved in the rocks.
The apartment is wonderful, with many amenities, which is a guarantee for a good vacation in Budva. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable sofa, we didn't miss anything during our stay. Walking distance from the old town, many shops and restaurants nearby. By car we quickly reached many beaches around Budva - Jaz, Sveti Stefan, Becici, Kamenovo, Trsteno, Ploce. The hosts are very friendly and help with tips and ideas for an even better stay in Budva. We would definitely recommend it to families who decide to visit Montenegro!
We are still very impressed by our visit to Montenegro, largely because we stayed at this hotel. Very conveniently located, clean, everything you need is in the room. But the main thing is Evelina, who took care of us the entire time we were there. She offered us more comfortable rooms with a sea view. All minor problems (and there were no major ones) were resolved instantly. She is a warm person, this is very important.
Breakfast is very good, we recommend it.
The service is better then in 5 star hotels. Stuff is very kind and always ready to help you. As we were going to Budva by bus from Podgorica, the whole time owners of the apartment were on the phone helping us getting to the destination and got us by car at 3 am. Everyday we were given a fresh towels and rooms were cleaned almost everyday. Also there is a supermarket 5 min down the street and it is about 15 min walk from the beach.
We absolutely recommend it.
absolutely everything. Nadja and Milena were absolutely 2 of the best hotel staff we’ve communicated with probably ever. super friendly, helpful, communicative. if we needed something, they helped arrange it in minutes. the property was clean, and in an amazing location. our place had a living room as well with views of the yachts in the marina. honestly can’t say enough good things about this place and Budva. very underrated city.
First of all, contact with my host was amazing (she was always online when I needed her and checked twice if everything was okay). Then the localisation - right in the centre of Budva's old town. The room was clean and elegant. I was also able to enjoy sunny weather on big terrace and use well - equipped kitchen. Compared to other apartments in Montenegro that I have visited Villa Casa di Pietra it's truly a diamond.
If you want to have the same comfort conditions of your own home in your travels, Hostel Budva is exactly the true address for Montenegro (especially with their tasty and free breakfasts). You can find what you need easily by the help of its great location. You'll feel the sincerity of the owners. Even if you lose money in Bitcoin, i am sure they will try their best to help you)) And lovee youuu Nero)))
Ths hotel was very close to Budva main bus station, which takes only 5min by walking as well as sea side of beach. There are also some supermarkets, shopping malls and cafe that you can eat and buy some gifts.
The best part was the room’s balcony. It was so large and have table and chairs to sit and enjoy the view. Ths room also had kettle to make your own tea and coffee.
Immerse yourself in the cultural richness of Montenegro at Margarita in Budva. Within walking distance, you'll find an array of fascinating attractions, such as the historic Old Town and its ancient fortress walls. Strolling through the charming streets, I discovered hidden gems like local markets and quaint cafes, offering a taste of the authentic Montenegrin lifestyle.
We loved the staff, they were too friendly and helpfull. We got too many recommendation for Budva. Matija at the reception was great and helped with any little details. We are planning to visist that hotel again. Pool was great, private beach was awesome(3mins by waşking and no need to pay for sunbeds) It was HB and breakfast+dinner were amazing. Thanks for everything.
Hotel is good for family family and kids only … the pool area is big however full of kids and noisy. Location of the hotel is very good in center of budva and near to budva old city and center. The area was save at night.
Good location if you are traveling through Montenegro, it’s on the side of the main road going to budva and if you have your own car it is close to a lot of places, it have private parking space and hosts are very nice.
Reception were very kind and well.. receptive. AC seemed to be actually relatively cool the room (not common in Budva hotels). You have a supermarket right next door.
Fair value for price I’d say.
The place is accessible. Near to Supermarket and most specially to bus stop if your planning to do excursion around Montenegro the place is great location. And it’s very near to Old town Budva
The staff at the property was absolutely amazing and very welcoming! They will help you with any of your travel needs while in Budva! One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at in my life!
New, modern hotel, close to the center and beach of Budva. Very nice and relatively spacious bathroom. Good bed, AC. Included free underground parking.
