Aztec Capital and Vibrant Metropolis
As one of the biggest cities in the world, Mexico City could be better described as an experience than a city. Founded in 1325 by the Aztecs as Tenochtitlan, it was both destroyed and rebuilt by the Spanish in the 16th century. Nowadays, it is the capital of the United Mexican States and its most important economic and cultural center.
The city center’s cornerstone is the famous Plaza de la Constitución, commonly called Zócalo. It's surrounded by the presidential Palacio Nacional and the Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral.
The Avenida de la Reforma was built under the brief rule of Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian of Austria, while the deposed president Porfirio Díaz left a characteristic fusion of French-Mexican architecture. The 1960s saw a demographic explosion that only now is starting to be completely absorbed.
From the Chapultepec Parks and the chic Polanco, to the gay area of Zona Rosa and the Bohemian and intellectual Coyoacán: let Mexico City tell you its thousand secrets and stories.
Most of the hotels are located around the Reforma area, the Insurgentes Avenue and the Zócalo. If you’re looking for 5-star hotels in Mexico City, the modern Santa Fe area has a recently redeveloped business sector.

From the moment I arrived, Mexico City captured my heart...
From the moment I arrived, Mexico City captured my heart with its vibrant culture and warm hospitality. I had the pleasure of visiting iconic locations such as the majestic Castle of Chapultepec and its serene park, and I navigated the city with ease using the efficient metro and Metro bus services. A highlight was the enchanting boat ride through the canals of Xochimilco and a visit to the spiritual Basilica, each offering unique insights into the city's rich heritage. To top it all off, attending a Madonna concert was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that added an extra sparkle to my visit.
The city's blend of history, culture, and modern attractions makes it a top destination for any traveler. I am already looking forward to my next visit and would highly recommend this mesmerizing city to anyone considering a visit. Mexico City, you have left an indelible mark on my heart!

I love visiting Mexico City.
I love visiting Mexico City. I have taken two vacation trips there in the last year. It is comfortable for a visitor with minimal Spanish language (but still, you should try, at least a little!). So many interesting and unique aspects. World class museums, fabulous murals, amazing archaeological sites, intriguing markets, memorable restaurants & street food, Lucha Libre, Ballet Folklorico, and much more. Go to Tours by Locals and arrange some outstanding guided tours (I have done 7 of them in Mexico City).

The city is a alive with people, cars, and police. We were never bothered by beggers, etc. Mexico City is not for people who do not like crowds and wonderful for those of us that appreciate humanity.

We had a wonderful time and always felt safe.
We had a wonderful time and always felt safe. However, we stayed in a hotel on the main plaza (zócalo) and there was an incredible amount of police and private security presence. Our hotel (Gran Hotel) had its own vetted taxi service, which we used exclusively. The sights in the city and surroundings are just amazing. We spent two days in the National Museum of Anthropology and could have easily spent more (informative texts and artifacts for every pre-Hispanic culture in Mexico -- think Smithsonian or NYC natural history museum. Amazing cuisine, parks, pyramids, art galore -- don't miss the murals in the Palace of Fine Arts), and on and on. Incredible city, not to be missed. Get a good guide book and go!!

The pollution in the city was off the charts.
The pollution in the city was off the charts. I lost two days to feeling awful. Traffic is terrible. Don't bother with Museo Soumaya...great building, probably the worst curated (not really even curated) collections of art...plus a lot of marble reproductions. The other museums are terrific, Condesa is beautiful to walk around, one of the best food cities. Aside from negatives, loved Mexico City!

It's impossible to overstate how deeply in love I feel with this incredible city, which is so full of history, culture, and love. Some of the friendliest people I've ever met in my travels, and endless amount of things to see and do.
The staff at this hotel are really lovely and helpful. I have dietary requirements and the women making breakfast would make something specially for me every day. From the reception staff, to the guard on the door, to the room cleaners everyone was genuinely welcoming, lovely and helpful. Location is amazing as it is very close to the main areas of restaurants and bars in Polanco but is on a relatively quiet street. It is quite a charming little place, we would often take our breakfast up onto the terrace of a morning and it was so peaceful.
Excellent location in Reforma, Mexico City. We stayed 4 night in a junior suite on the 2nd floor is quite quiet (except for the door banging sound from people closing the ice box door. Hotel serves average breakfast but it very generous as they let guest pack food away by providing boxes and bags for take away. The area is very safe to walk about even at night and is next to a shopping mall with plenty of ATMs, eating and shopping choices. It is also not far from Zocalo by car. Housekeeping is very good.
Maison du Compte is a wonderful family-owned boutique hotel very well located in Consdessa. The location is very safe and near a lot of good restaurants and bars. The staff was outstanding, going beyond expectations to assist. It was my first time in Mexico City and they were very helpful in getting me oriented and making recommendations. Breakfast was excellent. One of the best features of the hotel is the very comfortable open-air rooftop veranda.
Casa Emilia is a lovely boutique hotel - comfortable, quiet, stylish decor. The staff are friendly and helpful (thank you, Julio! 🙏) and the location is super convenient. Walkable, safe, with a ton of great local food options nearby. The neighborhood is less trendy than, say, La Condesa and less posh than, say, Polanco but we enjoyed the vibe and proximity to much of what CDMX has to offer. Overall we had a great stay.
The hotel is in an excellent location if you want to reach tourist areas and also if you have business located in Reforma. We would walk around Reforma to reach the offices as well as to la Zona Rosa at night for the nightlife. They had a good variety of breakfast, we always ordered something different each day for the 7 days, and the room although small it was comfortable. The staff was very kind, and helpful.
Beautiful location in Polanco. The house is a stunning repurposed mansion close to many restaurants and bars. The young girl who was running the desk made check in super easy. It’s in a super safe neighborhood and easily walkable. Super grateful for the black out curtains to block out all the street lights and signs from the neighboring businesses and hotels.
Great modern hotel, good breakfast, easy Uber to airport ($109. peso and 15 minutes). or metro station near by .Perfect location , 2 block walk to Garabaldi Plaza with many bars, lots of food options,, oxxo, and Mariachis. Large quiet, clean room with very comfortable beds, and best blackout curtains ever. 24 hour check in and security, great staff
The staff was absolutely incredible and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Also check out the spa - had the best massage of my life there. Amazing coffee shop in the lobby with great service. Will be returning to Mexico City just to stay here again. This is truly a 10/10 hotel in every way and the staff brings it up to a 12/10.
Hotel Itto is located in the beautiful Condesa neighborhood - just a few minutes from wonderful restaurants, cute cafes, and parks, especially Chapultepec where a visit is a must. It's right off the highway so easy to get to from the airport in about 30 mins via taxi, depending on the traffic, of course. The courtyard of the hotel is cute.
The hotel is located very close to the airport, just walking distance. The best way to walk is through the hotel " Camino real". From there it's only 4 minutes.
The room and the shared bathroom/ toilet was very clean. The room (27€) is small, but it's good for passing through mexico city for one night. The stuff helpful and friendly.
For the money, this is the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Worldwide. I would absolutely take this over any other property in Mexico City unless you absolutely need a kitchen/washer+dryer.
Staff are highly professional and exceed all expectations.
Room furnishings and cleanliness are impeccable.
Fast, reliable internet.
Quiet.
we were transferred to another hotel because L’heritage at Aristóteles was under remodelation… “close to you” hotel in Polanco. It was clean. Hane and Emir were friendly and great! we really liked their service. Rooms were clean and comfortable…with a nice view. food available in the 4th floor, anytime.
The location of this hotel is definitely the highlight! Condesa is such a beautiful neighbourhood and this place is definitely a good choice for a couple of days. It’s clean, modern and mostly quiet. The staff are also very nice and gave us recommendations of places to eat and visit in Mexico City!
The kindest staff, the best location and lovely comfortable beds!
We have already booked to stay again. They have great amenities and they go out of their way to help you however they can. It’s the best hotel we’ve stayed in in Mexico City.
Location is superb. On the edge of Polanco w/o the prices. Easy walking to Chapultepec, Reforma, Roma Nte, Condesa, Polanco. Rooftop terrace a big plus. Staff generally very good/xlnt. Good coffee 24/7.
The best location in Mexico city just across the road from parquet mexico. The hotel was very clean, the decor and style was unique. The hotel staff could not be more helpful and more friendly.
