The ruins were expansive and high up.

The ruins were expansive and high up. The 1.5 hour hike down from the ruins was one of the highlights of our trip. We ate at a Pizza place recommended by the hotel. It was great. Did not see a lot of other restaurant options. The town has some cool narrow cobble stone alleys and a nice plaza. We took a collectivo to Cusco on our way out of town. A great, cheap way to travel. Were looking for one up to the ruins but did not find one because we were at the wrong end of the bridge over the river. You need to walk across the bridge to catch the collectivos. One night in town was about right. Ended up in a slightly more expensive taxi for the ride up to the ruins. Would not recommend hiking up to the ruins, only down!

The walking through Pisac ruins is a fantastic experience - you should go by taxi to the upper entrance and walk down to the exit at the city center. The city itself is small, but very nice, with many good silver and crafts shops, and a fine botanic garden. The stay at the Florencio Casa Hacienda and dining at Cuchara de Palo restaurant were added delights

Pisac is a quiet and chilled out location, that has great little market for breakfast and lots of vegetarian to vegan restaurant's in the evening. Hiking is a must, with easy to follow routes and easy access to the collectivo's to get to other towns.

A great place to spend a Vacation to disconnect ,Pisac is the entrance of the Sacred Valley and has their own ruins ,don't miss visit them, A lot of greenery and a river to walk trough and the mountains that are surrounding you clam your mind. Also has Lakes, you have to go to Kinsa Cocha and spend a few hours there. The center of the old town show the streets and tell you a story

Such a calm town after the hustle and bustle and traffic of Cusco. !! The archaeological site is the most complete and intact site in the country. Eat at Osteria Antica, just a short walk from the hotel, on the same street. Wood fired oven pizza. The best pizza crust we have tasted. n Apparently, locals from as far away as Ollantaytambo and Urabamba make the trip to eat here.

Pisac has it's fair share of tourists which has positive and negative aspects. There are great restaurants and lots of shopping. Prices are inflated and sometimes requires haggling. A lady on the Sunday market charged us 3 times what she charged the local for a bowl of soup. It was 15 soles instead of 5. No big deal in principle doesn't feel nice. Ask for prices first!

Everything! the location is a quick walk to town. it’s quiet! The house is like a perfect museum. Do take a minute to look at the decorations. I’m sure they all have a story I’d love to hear some day. The property is beautiful and the staff is INCREDIBLE! Valentina and Pascal go above and beyond. Valentina gives the best needed hugs. 💕 The owner was flexible and caring. the balcony room is where it’s at…that bed! ❤️ I’ll return just for this place. it’s a must in the Pisac valley.

David is the best host that makes for sure you feel at home. The internet is very fast and the place has amazing views of the mountians. On the edge of town but very close to the center, this is a quiet and comfortable place that will have you wanting to stay longer! I will absolutely be staying here again on my next visit to Pisac. There is even a beautiful grassy yard, fire pit and kitties that come to say hi. Thank you so much David! I hope to see you again soon.

The hot water shower is great - one of the best showers I have had in Peru. The room is clean, and the bed is super warm and comfy. I slept very well. The host, Jenny, is super friendly and responsive. Everyday she provided me with hot water for tea, which is very sweet. They have a cute dog, Sparky, who you will find roaming the street, pastry shop, and the main square every day...

Loved my stay so much I extended within a few hours of checking in. The location is very unique overlooking the Sacred Valley. Evenings are spent in the common area eating delicious homemade food and sharing stories with fellow travellers. Probably got the best sleep I've had in peru in this hostel. Ivan was a great host. Hope to revisit one day when the pool/jacuzzi is built!
