Ingrid always greeted us with an enthusiastic smile. She did so many little things (flowers, snacks, driving us, etc) that made our visit so easy. We stayed for 2 nights on the front end of our 3-week visit to Fr Polynesia. This 2-night stay was the perfect bookend to a phenomenal visit.

Great, friendly family and very helpful for information. Also, available for airport transportation which was very convenient for us. There is a bus stop near. Otherwise, having a car would be best.

Matahi and his wife were very welcoming and kind. The apartment was spacious and comfortable with a lovely outdoor dining area and kitchen. Great view down the valley from the deck.
It's a little hard to find until Google maps the area properly. Use the detailed instructions from the other other review on here and you'll find it. Don't try on your own like we did! 😄

WOW ... the most beautiful rooms. Very contemporary, yet welcoming with subdued colors, large photo murals of various islands, and wood you want to stroke. Shower was large and easy to use. There is a communal kitchen and dining area on a wonderfully cool deck. Tahia and Raemiti are gracious hosts and make everyone's stay a joy. They also speak English and offer recommendations for dining and things to do. This was the only place we stayed where we really had a good visit with other guests. It's all about ambience.

Very clean apartment and the host very nice and helpful. The location is in the hills and hard to walk to stores or restaurants. The host kindly offered to drive us to get groceries which we did. The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood 5 min away from airport and beaches. Its best to have a car,
Perfect overnight before a flight. Picked up at airport.

Faaa itself is OK.
Faaa itself is OK. It's the Royal room in the hills tgat was problematic. The room is not really as described. Seems it's run by someone else than the owner, possibly absentee house owner. Many people come and go from the Royal. One group came for a visit and occupied the terrace. They were polite and quiet but smoked, so no joining for us. The house cleaness is questionable and it appears there is more lodgers than the one the who sleep in the loft. Living room dingy with curtains closed and sofa. Underfurnished. The bedding feels cheap and polyester-like. Parking is a total headache on a narrow ledge. Finally someone came to move own car but with another motorcycle in the small place that was hardly useful. Dog poo was there, easy to step in. It's close to airport but there are nicer places to stay than here. Valley location was nice. Otherwise do not recommend this place. As to airport facility, it was easy to park a car at longterm to jump to another island for 2 days.

Faaa is the gateway to French Polynesia.
Faaa is the gateway to French Polynesia. It is a beautiful city capturing the culture of Tahiti. I visited several markets while there and was impressed by the local pearl, oils for the skin and fruit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in beautiful Tahiti! Thank you from Canada!

Many mosquitoes in Tahiti…bring repellent!
Many mosquitoes in Tahiti…bring repellent! The hosts have mosquito repellent coils lit in the open common area and it helps. A small main gathering area for breakfast, share use of regular size fridge for leftovers, grocery store food, etc. A water machine to refill your own water bottle, coffee maker, hot tea pitcher, microwave, stove, etc all in common area & shared if you’d like to cook own meals. It’s very clean in the area. Also, a washer is available for use for your clothes & hang dry. The hosts are very kind and accommodating.

The hotel is beautiful, but you can walk anywhere, as the menus are very limited, you’ll get bored of it very quickly.
If you want a restaurant outside the hotel, you need to take a taxi, which can get expensive.
This accommodation is very close to the airport, surrounded by lush vegewtation. It is convenient for a short stay before a flight but also ideal for longer stays to explore Tahiti island and nearby Moorea. Nina is a wonderful host who helped us take advantage of our short stay and tell us about life in Tahiti, as a local would. The private room is very comfortable, quiet and we slept very well. Nina can arrange to pick you up at the airport, and we really appreciated this option. We loved it here and would come back!
Cute little hotel next to airport. Great for families looking for a local place. Very accommodating staff for early check-in and arranging taxi transfer to airport due to our large amount of luggage. This is a local hotel. If you desire to experience the culture of Tahiti, I highly recommend this property. If you are looking for a Hilton experience with valet and a concierge this is not the place for you.
Rooms were modern and super clean, but with a minimalist decor.
If you look for a hotel, then don't go there. If you look for a family, you definitely have to stay here! Eva and her mum are super sweet and are a huge help. I stayed there my first days and Eva helped me to organize a lot of things. I can recommend everyone a stay at the Kohutahia Lodge, when you want to stay in a lovely, heartwarming and fun place. They can speak English, so it made the communication easier for me. I would come here again!
We loved our stay at Chalet Ohana! Nina, our host, was so warm, friendly and helpful. The guest house was pristine and very nicely furnished. We stayed in one room and our kids in another. Our kids loved swimming in the pool. Very conveniently located and we very much appreciated Nina picking us up from the airport at an ungodly hour and for her recommendations for meals and entertainment close by. She is a great ambassador for Tahiti.
The husband and wife hosts at this house are wonderful. They were incredibly kind to me when I was stranded in Tahiti due to unseasonal flooding which closed the airport in New Zealand. I was stuck in Papeete for 4 days and they could not have been more welcoming or friendly. Shout out to resident 'Thierry' also for speaking Spanish with me. I should have learned French before getting stuck here!
I didn’t have breakfast probably because I had to leave really early. 6.40am Reva was amazing in that she picked me up from the airport and gave me a lift back early morning. In the evening her husband dropped me off at a restaurant then Reva brought me back. Taxis in Tahiti are really expensive so this was fantastic!
The hotel is located close to the airport. The room was a good size with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. The view was also very nice. But the owners' hospitality was exceptional. We got excellent dinner recommendations and how to tour the island by car. There is parking available on site.
I liked that our host picked us up and dropped us at the airport. Reva also was kind enough to get my iPad that I left at the main rental, before being relocated. I did like the room decor. It was modern and had a nice tv and good Wi-Fi, even though this was not the accommodation we paid for.
Excellent location near airport for early flight. Maeve dropped us off at 0430 for small fee. Then came and got us again as flight was cancelled.
She was super helpful and friendly. The apartment is large and clean as were shared areas with complimentary tea and coffee.
Proximity to airport and free pick up and drop off at any hour to/from the airport.
Was there literally 6 or 7 hours but way better than sitting at airport waiting for next flight or paying $500.00 plus a RT taxi ride to stay at one of the resorts nearby
Reva was an exceptional host. She went out of her way to make our stay easy and comfortable
Her communication was responsive and clear
Totally recommend staying with her on arrival or departure from tahiti
She is 3 mins from airport
Perfect place to stay in Papeete. Quiet, private, beautiful view. The hosts were wonderful, friendly, brought us to and from the airport. Logistics were seamless. Will stay again.
Amazing place close to the airport. The hosts went out of their way to welcome me at 3am after my flight got delayed. The facilities were clean and inviting.
