The view from this hotel is amazing, and its just offset enough from town views to be just right. The hotel public spaces are nicely done. Rooms are comfortable, albeit basic. Staff at front desk is great.

The property was modern and the scenery was absolutely beautiful! The room was clean and with a great view. It was a really peaceful stay, with attentive staff. We ate dinner at their restarant which served hugh quality food. Their breakfast was also great.
A big plus that we were surprised about, was that they had a cable for charging e-cars at the parking!

The property is so beautiful, a really unique stay. Dinner was exquisite - the dining hall is stunning, and the food was outstanding. The room itself was very large, and the common spaces were so nice to relax in. The staff was so friendly and welcoming.

Geographically Lamego is in a hollow. As I approached from the south in full sun in December you could see Lamego covered in mist, cold damp mist. It lasted for my 3 day stay and the sun was only visible as I left and approached the Duro River!
The accommodation was dia and the highlight was the cheerful taxi driver to took me out!!
Limited walking as two routes were terminated by loose snarling dogs!

Very pretty city, could have spent more time just hanging out and getting to know the city and way of life. If you are there just to walk to the top of the steps to see the cathedral, then one day is sufficient.

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed the amazing view, the park like garden, the heated indoor swimming pool. The breakfast was great so was our room which was very spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the view from our private terrace was amazing.
There was no restaurant on site so that meant having to drive into Lamego for dinner. We had a car so that didn’t bother us.
We would definitely stay again.

Do not miss the Sanctuario Nossa Senhora dos Remedios.
Do not miss the Sanctuario Nossa Senhora dos Remedios. Beautiful church built on top of a hill overlooking Lamego. Multiple terraces adorned with traditional Portuguese blue and white tiles lead up and down the property. One of the most beautiful places I have been to. I am surprised that the church is not talked about more often as a major attraction in the Duoro Valley.

We really enjoyed walking and visiting the towers, castles and churches it was like a travel back in time. Also because of the proximity we could take a boat tour in the Douro river. We drove from Lamego to Peso da Régua then by train to Pinhão to finish with a 2hrs boat tour.
Another unique experience was to drive on the N222. According to Avis who has crowned Portugal's N-222 as 'the road that offers the best driving experience in the world. From Peso da Régua to Pinhão.
With plenty of cafés, restaurants and bars food and drinks are there for you to choose. Is worth to know that after 22:00 most restaurants are closed but there are some like "O Cortelheiro" na rua das Cortes is open until 2:00am and you can have much more than a sandwiche.
The owner of the hotel is lovely and goes out of her way to make sure everything is clean and in order. She made us wonderful recommendations at a local restaurant—it was fabulous! She was helpful in so many ways and very interesting to talk with about the history of the house and the area, places to go for day trips, etc. She made us a very special breakfast every morning. What a nice way to start our day!
Wow what a place to stay. The facility itself is impressive but the views even more impressive. The big challenge is getting there. A bit out of downtown Lamego and not easy to find even using Google maps. Missed the turn off three times - better signage would definitely help. Long winding road to get up to the facility so driving to get there late at night - need to be careful
The guest house was beautiful, and the host Antonio was so welcoming. He spent time with us to make sure we were totally comfortable, and gave us recommendations about what to do in the town of Lamego. When we checked out, he gave us some suggestions of less traveled roads to explore, which we did and loved. We can’t wait to come back and visit again.
Great hotel in a vineyard. The modern hotel was pleasing. It was too cold to use the pool, but we enjoyed the sun with vineyard all around us. The bar was good enough and someone was always willing to help. The breakfast was worth every penny and there were lots of options. I would love to revisit in a few years to see how things change.
Great views, newly rennovated, peaceful quiet location, loads of good wine in the area, lovely pool
We didn’t have a car but the hotel owners helped us by booking taxis so worked out really well
Glass of wine on check in was nice and always available to bring beer and snacks
Flawless stay 👏🏼
-Wonderful breakfast with local products
-Singular experience of staying in a typical vintage “Quinta” house
-Complimentary Porto wine in the room & bottle of your choice from their own red/white production
-Great staff
-Fantastic view from the mountains/vineyards/Douro valley
This is a great place to stay at in the Douro valley, especially if you do not have a car and you only rely on train connections.
We loved the pool, it was a great perk of the hotel.
The breakfast was delicious, carefully made and the restaurant staff was very attentive.
Friendly and helpful staff. Modern hotel with all the amenities. Comfortable bed and linens. Great breakfast buffet with plenty of fresh fruit. Nice balcony with good view. Short walk to restaurants, center and castle.
Pool area was really nice, also the restaurant, people at the reception, location. It’s noticeable the hotel is refurbished and considering how it looked like before, they did a good job.
