It was one of the best breakfasts we have ever had, excellent attention to detail; our bedroom was very spacious and clean. Great location, with lovely walks on your doorstep, plenty of outdoor seating to just laze around admiring the perfect setting of the property. Amazing beaches close by.

I don’t expect all hotels to be accessible for the elderly...
I don’t expect all hotels to be accessible for the elderly or disabled but I do believe booking.com should clearly indicate when a facility is NOT suitable for us. The photos and description of Casa da Umbria were accurate but didn’t tell the whole truth. I can normally make it up the 13-15 stairs to reach a first floor walk-up especially if there’s a good handrail. I didn’t expect to have to climb steep cobblestone walkways followed by 34 steps without a handrail ending in a death-defying 90 degree spiral-type turn to get to the front door. Then there were all the other defects noted in my review. The hostess prepared a wonderful breakfast and helped us schedule a taxi and bus to our next destination but she became very defensive when I mentioned the stairs so I shut up and didn’t even try to suggest anything else. I can’t say anything for or against Odemira in general because I was essentially trapped in our room until we left.
Everything was excellent and Alice is the best host on planet earth. Super friendly, amazing breakfast, outstanding location (much better than all 5* hotels we had prior to this boutique place). I tend to say I don‘t recommend it because otherwise it‘s always fully booked when we want to return ;-) …a must visit when traveling through Portugal and definitely worthwhile to stay more fhan just 1 night because there is so many things to do in the area
The apartment and the host's hospitality both exceeded our expectations! Thank you for the clear and quick communication, the refreshments welcoming us as well as for the detailed information on everything relevant around! The apartment is situated within the centre of Odemira, which is very convenient. Also, the photos do not fully capture its charm. :)
The house is very beautiful und you sense its friendly spirit. There is a big balcony overlooking the bridge of Odemira , the river and the valey. Underneath there's a lovely green, little garden where in may, when we stayed there, we could eat the nespra fruits, just from the tree.
We really enjoyed our stay.
Local family business that just exceeded my expectations (photos are
Super easy check-in. The lady was very very nice and gave us all the tips we needed for our stay.
Breakfast is delicious, with fresh fruit and home made juices and marmelades.
Location in Odemira is perfect.
a traditional house in the center of Odemira perfectly renovated recently; spacious and light rooms, with a beautiful living room, and a nice outdoor area.Claudia she’s a fantastic host, warm and very attentive, her breakfast is fabulous as well. highly recommended
Breakfast was amazing. The best we had while staying in Portugal and we stayed at some high-class hotels. The hospitality of Alice and her husband. It felt like family from the first minutes on.
Everything!!!
amazing place!! A beautiful rural hotel, in a middle of fields and forests, lovely staff, excellent breakfast, I will return there happily and highly recommend to all my friends.
I liked that Res. Rita had a room on short notice and that it is in Odemira, one of my favorite towns anywhere. The staff were friendly and featured a very funny young boy.
