Creole Pearl Self-Catering, hotel in Victoria

Set 4 km from Victoria Clock Tower, Creole Pearl Self-Catering offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as a garden and barbecue facilities.

Very cozy and clean apartment with all necessary things. Alex is super friendly and helpful - he met us with fresh juice and refreshing towels and it was great after long flight and kindly left some goods for the first day in the apartment - fruits, water, eggs, milk, butter. He also gave some advice about exploring Mahe. We did really feel like a home and were enjoying spectacular view from the balcony. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own meals, and there is a fish market nearby where you can buy fresh catch in the morning and evening. Also, there are several small grocery stores and a pharmacy nearby. This is not disadvantage of housing, but travelers need to know that it is better to get to the apartment by car. At first the road may seem difficult, but after a couple of time, you will get used to it. As a bonus, the owners have a cute cat, and you can also see giant turtles from the balcony (kept by the owner of the neighboring house) :-) Many thanks for our pleasant and comfortable stay!

Variety of shops. Safe. Cultural. Food is expensive. Beautiful lush terrain. Humid. Bus is best way to travel. Reasonable. When you change buses you have to pay fare again (12 rupees). Cabs are expensive. Many pharmacies if required. Locals are friendly, helpful. Bus service good M- F and Sunday. Minimal Saturday. Not much open Sunday.

Victoria was easily accessed, there were many markets and most people spoke English. There are frequent rain showers that lasted a few minutes which is a relief as it is hot and humid most of the time. The restaurants were great but for South Africans it worked out expensive to eat and drink. There were far too many cars on the road and simply no parking available in Victoria. lovely sights and scenery . The roads that lead over the mountain give way to absolutely breath taking views. The local busses and their drivers were a menace on the road but they provided value for money public transport.

Not the type of capitol city many of us are used too. You'll see it all within 2 hours. The tourist offer is pretty slim at best, while any tourist related item prices are very steep. In Seychelles, it's the beaches you'll enjoy, not the city atmosphere.

Victoria is ok, but we spent most of our time renting an apartment (Villa Bella) on the North East point, which was perfect for us. The North East point is far away from any touristy areas, so you'll need a car, which I'd recommend anyways to go to the different beaches, trails, supermarket etc. So stay elsewhere than Victoria is my advice!

As the capital of Seychelles, Victoria is a must see.

As the capital of Seychelles, Victoria is a must see. It is the cultural centre of the country. But the restaurants are very average to poor. Be prepared to pay tourist rates for everything and forget about coffee, there is none that is drinkable. For those in a hurry, two days is enough to see Victoria.

Our two-week stay was outstanding. Although not a 5-star hotel, it's an ideal choice for budget travelers. Very clean with a breathtaking view and close to the most beautiful beache Beau-Vallon. Anne-Marie, our host, went above and beyond, providing valuable local insights, preparing for us a delightful Creole dinner, and even helping arrange a memorable fishing tour for my husband. Despite minor inconveniences like a short steep hill to reach the accommodation, it was an outstanding experience overall.

Maka Bay was a wonderful surprise for us. Staff is kind and always available to help with suggestions and reservations. The owner also shared with us a lists of activities which were taking place during our stay. The room was super clean, with a beautiful view on the ocean and lot of space. It was full equipped in case you want to prepare your meals. We spent 5 incredible days at Maka Bay and we fully recommend it. It’s important to rent a car if you want to visit the island

Michel holiday apartment is well located within 5 min drive from Seychelles airport. Nearby supermarkets and groceries are accessible even at night. It is another 15 min drive to Victoria and Eden island. Host Ann was super friendly and helpful; the garden is maintained nicely, the apartment is clean and well maintained, have a secured private room parking. Overall, our stay at the apartment was memorable, and I’d highly recommend especially for a family.

The apartment was spacious and very comfortable with all the amenities one would need for a self-service apartment. Everything was very clean and the facilities were in great shape. The host was always ready to answer questions or help out when you called, and very flexible with late check out if the room wasn't needed immediately. Location was right in the middle of victoria, with 5-10 mins access to super markets and other amenities when needed.

Marie-Anne and family are very kind and hospitable.-They gave a very good first impression of Seychellois people. Papaya Self Catering is situated in a very good location up the mountain. It is very easy to get there by bus and car, nearly impossible to get lost for a first time visitor. Not far from Victoria city centre. Close to shops and a Chinese restaurant. About 20 minutes away from Port Launay beach, which I highly recommend.

We really felt very much at home at Will's Apartments. Mrs Daniella is so dedicated and caring. We got a warm-hearted welcome and plenty of useful advice and attendance to whatever came up. We enjoyed the seaview and the small beach across the road. With the sound of the waves we got a good night's sleep in the comfortable bed. The bus stop only a few metres away is very convenient. Thank you so much for everything!

There is an amazing view of Victoria, and also the property is recognisable if you are in the bay. We were able to walk down to Victoria, but it is a long way - 30+ minutes to the clock tower. The restaurant in the hotel is unpretentious but has good home cooking (I had the fish curry) at correct prices. Breakfast was plentiful. The hotel ordered a taxi for us as our timings were tight & this worked well.

An absolutely wonderful place for a quiet and peaceful holiday. The hostess Mary Claire solved any question that arose. Self-catering is a huge plus. You don't feel like a guest, everything is as homey as possible. The room is cleaned every day, upon return, the smell of freshness meets. There is a bus stop nearby, from where you can get to the beaches of Anse-Royale, Baie-Lazare and Victoria.

The hotel has exceeded our expectations! Extremely friendly manager, parking, clean rooms, strong WiFi, good view, coffee machine, complementary water, juice, snacks... Another point I would like to pay special attention to is the quality of the bed! Wide, clean, white, nice smelling, comfortable... Amazing! Our stay at Villa Panoramic was perfect. The room was very clean and was cleaned everyday. We enjoyed the breakfast and loved the pool. Ashley the host is just an awesome person, she made sure we had everything we needed and we didn't meet anyone more knowledgeable about Seychelles than her throughout our trip :). We will definitely come back here on our next visit. Hats off!

Rooms were nice and clean with a balcony that had a view all the way to the water. Pool is accessible the whole time with a nice view. Transfer was organised by the hotel which was easy and convenient €30 from airport and €15 to the ferry.. Nice overnight stay before my ferry the next day. Didn't really leave the hotel so can't really comment on the location..

Family run hotel, staff very lovely, the best breakfast I've ever had in Seychelles (homemade marmelades, eggs, bread, coconut cake, omelette, fresh lemon juice), we were able to do late checkout at 1pm without extra charge. I've heard they can cook dinner for you however not tried it. Big bathroom and room. View of the Victoria city and islands.
