Location was excellent for our purpose and that was to attend my daughter’s graduation at UC Berkeley but since we checked out early in the morning ,we did not get much from what we paid for.It would have been different had we stayed a little longer till noon ,but the city view was awesome at night and breakfast was very good.

location is right next to a bart and a target. very convenient location for getting around without a car. the staff is super friendly and helped me swap to a better room. the staff and location are the positives for my stay, but overall i wouldn’t stay here again.

This is a beautiful old hotel, designed by Julia Morgan. The courtyard is a great place to read a book. The breakfast was excellent, especially the two types of quiche. We didn't have enough time to explore everything we wanted to at the hotel, including the indoor pool and the small Julia Morgan museum. We will stay there again on our next trip to Berkeley.
