The motel was as described..between the beaches, 4 to 5 minute walk to either one. Great greeting on entering the office, very pleasant after a long drive.

We were greeted at check in by Kristin who was wonderful. She was very pleasant and upgraded our room. She was very helpful and eager to make our stay wonderful. All the facilities including our room were very clean and comfortable.
Just a half-mile from Maine’s Atlantic coast and 2 miles from Interstate 95, The Grand Hotel has an indoor heated pool and outdoor hot tub. It is located less than a half-mile from Perkin’s Cove.
The bed was very comfortable. Loved the balcony and the view. All the staff was very pleasant and helpful. There was a coffee shop right next door and the stairs to the beach were right across the street.

York Beach is a great place to stay!
York Beach is a great place to stay! In addition to Long Sands, where our motel was located, there are lots of convienent, affordable restauants. In addition, there are many attractions nearby, most reachable by walking.
We stayed at the Cutty Sark motel, located right on Long Sands Beach. My wife and me were both extremely pleased with this motel. The motel is literally steps away from the ocean, which afforded fantastic views. The room was impeccably clean, the staff warm and friendly, and the price for our two night stay quite reasonable.
In addition, we were literally steps away from the beach, local area restaurants and attractions.
We highly recommend staying at this establishments.

York Beach was lovely!
York Beach was lovely! I stayed at a hotel that was easily walkable to most attractions in town. I stayed right across the road from Short Sands Beach & it was a relatively brief, but slightly hilly walk to Nubble Lighthouse & then over to Long Sands Beach. At the time I visited (mid-October), several local shops/restaurants were closed for the season, but there were still enough options for me to find new places to go each day. It was also quiet & uncrowded compared to some of the other coastal towns that I visited (particularly Ogunquit & Kennebunkport, which were also very nice, but quite crowded).

Even being off season there were plenty of shops open. I do wish the place to play skee-ball was open, we missed it by a couple of weeks. The food options were slim, and perhaps we just didn't pick the right places, but they weren't great, just average.

Despite this being a tourist area the people were all glad to see us and polite. Many great places to eat. Breakfast at the general store and there famous breakfast bulkies, Congdon donuts a short drive, Sun and Surf and wonderful place to have dinner as was Mimmos Italian restaurant. The two stores offer great beach lunches and the ice cream was a real treat.

York beach has a ton of stuff to do around it and is a beautiful beach. I normally stay in the Wells Beach area but this trip we decided on York. It was awesome aside from my hotel choice but there is shopping, food and lots of activities to do.
We loved the view out from the balcony to the beach and sea, very relaxing and great to site directly outside room to see this.
Close to everything you need and great to pop across the road and be on lovely sandy beach. Room was large and enjoyed using the bath which not all hotels offer. The air con unit was great and needed on our stay, comfy bed and great to have fridge, coffee machine and big TV.
We ate in the pub part of the hotel the night we stayed and the food was great with very generous portions.
Would stay again.
We love staying at Stones Thrown whether in the high season of the summer or in the early fall right before they close. We call this place our home away from home. It sits right across the beach and is a short walk to another beach, Short Sands. The restaurant is absolutely delicious and every who works their is gracious. I would suggest if you are a light sleeper, this place may not be for you or if you have trouble with stairs.
The room was beautiful with comfortable beds and little extra decorations that made the atmosphere very relaxing. We had a second floor room, and the views of the ocean were amazing! Beach was across the road, but beach access with stairs is a short walk up the sidewalk. (NOTE: There is no elevator at this hotel! The steps up to our room were narrow.)
Everyone we met was helpful and friendly. We were very pleased and would recommend the hotel to anyone. We had a suite with two rooms for sleeping. The balcony area is fine with a nice view and I imagine is a nice place to relax in warmer weather.
The view of the ocean and Long Sands Beach is absolutely spectacular. With a picture window and a door that opened directly from our first floor room onto a grass terrace, we did not our getaway to end! Our room was spacious and comfortable.
The Union Bluff is such a quaint hotel rebuilt after a fire many years ago.
You can’t get a better view of Short Sands!
The hotel is very clean and the staff is friendly but not intrusive.
This is my favorite place to stay in Maine.
Location was perfect, short walk to Short Sands. It was what I've come to expect of affordable beach hotels, clean, well kept older buildings. Staff was patient (I couldn't find the office right away), friendly and helpful.
Wonderful hotel right next to Short Sands beach in York, Maine. Very friendly staff, nice rooms and a great little pub right on the premises. You cannot beat the location or the comfy beds and super clean room.
The Long Beach Motor Inn is directly across the road from Long Sands Beach and within walking distance of many great places to eat and Nubble Light House if you are a walker.
A lovely hotel in a gorgeous location, which worked well as an overnight stop on our road trip.
Spacious room that easily accommodated two adults and two teenagers.
The location was great.A wonderful view of the ocean from balcony. Walking distance to long sands beach. Parking on property. Very clean rooms. Restaurants close
